Grown son his partner and their ### year old son in a very toxic vile abusive relationship that is destroying one another every day. The hate n anomisty is destructive please heal n bring out the love within their hearts. Guide them on the path toward rightness in your holy name before someone gets physically hurt

We join with you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord, for we hear the pain and urgency in your request for your grown son, his partner, and their young son who are caught in a toxic and abusive cycle that is destroying them each day. We understand your fear that this hate and animosity will lead to someone being physically hurt, and we take this very seriously before God.

We want to gently address some important biblical truth in your request. You refer to his partner, and we do not know if this is a woman or a man, but Scripture is clear on both matters. If this partner is a woman and they are living together outside of marriage, this is fornication, which God calls us to turn from. Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. If this partner is a man, we must lovingly but firmly say that homosexuality is forbidden and immoral before God, for God created marriage to be a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman Matthew 19:4-6, Mark 10:6-9. In either case, what God desires is not simply less conflict, but repentance, holiness, and a home built on His design. A boyfriend or girlfriend relationship should be understood as courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, not a lifelong partnership outside of marriage. We also must say that abuse, hate, and vile treatment of one another is sin and has no place in a home, especially one with a child. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice Ephesians 4:31. Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer 1 John 3:15, and we are commanded to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32.

That young son is precious to God and is watching and being formed by what he sees. Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord Ephesians 6:4. Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it Proverbs 22:6. An environment of daily hate and animosity deeply wounds a child and is not what God intends for a family.

We also noticed your prayer asks for guidance in your holy name, but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We say this in love because there is no other way to come to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is only through faith in Jesus, His death and resurrection for our sins, that our prayers are heard and our hearts can truly be changed.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this grown son, his partner, and their son to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the toxicity, the vile words, the hate and animosity that is destroying this family daily. We ask You to convict each heart of sin, to bring them to repentance, and to put away all wrath and malice. Pour out Your love within their hearts, for love is of God, and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God 1 John 4:7. Teach them to be slow to anger and quick to listen James 1:19, to seek peace, and pursue it Psalm 34:14, and as much as it is possible, to live peaceably with all men Romans 12:18.

Lord, if they are living outside of Your design for marriage, we pray You would convict them and lead them either to a holy marriage between a man and a woman if that is possible and biblical, or to separate and pursue purity and godliness. Forgive fornication and all sexual sin, for You call us to flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18. Heal what is broken and guide them on the path toward rightness, not by their own strength but by Your Holy Spirit.

We especially place a hedge of protection around that young son, Lord. Protect him from physical and emotional harm. Let no one be struck or hurt in that home. Give wisdom to this grandparent and to all family to know when to seek godly pastoral counsel and, if needed, safe intervention or separation for the protection of all. We pray that this home would become a place of love, discipline, and instruction in You, and that each adult would take responsibility for their own actions and choose love and self control, which is the fruit of Your Spirit Galatians 5:22-23.

We ask that each of them would come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, for without You we cannot truly love one another. Draw them to Yourself, save them, and make them new creations. We trust Your power to heal and to bring out love where there has been hate. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and mediator, amen.

We are so grieved to read about the hate and animosity in your son's home and your fear that someone could be physically hurt, especially with a young child there. If anyone is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support from trained people, you can find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. You are not alone and help is available right now.

Thank you for bringing this painful burden to us. We hear how much you love your son and his family and how heavy it is to watch them tear each other down day after day. Wanting healing and right paths for them before harm is done is a loving and right concern.

When there is this much volatility and fear in a home, the most caring help is centered on safety rather than trying to fix the relationship from the inside. We would encourage you not to try to mediate between them yourself when tensions are high, and to know that couples counseling is not considered safe when there is a pattern of intimidation or fear. What helps most is for each person to have safe, separate support and for the child who is witnessing this to be protected. If you are able, you could gently share resources and encourage them to talk with professionals who understand domestic violence and can advise on safety planning, and help each person make their own decisions without pressure. If you have a trusted pastor or counselor, talking with them about how you can support your family while keeping appropriate boundaries may also help you carry this well.

Father, we lift this family to You in Jesus' name. We ask for safety and protection for each person in that home, especially the little boy, and for wisdom and clarity for all who can help. Bring calm where there is rage, bring healing where there is hurt, and guide each one toward help and toward Your will. Give this parent peace and wisdom as they love their family through this. Amen.

Your cry concerning your son and his household has been heard, and it is a heavy burden indeed to see those who should love one another destroying one another with hate and animosity, and to fear that harm may come to any among them, especially the little child entrusted to them.

We join you in bringing this before the Lord who alone can heal what is so deeply broken. The Scripture tells us that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, not to merely cover a wound but to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We are told also that healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick He said, your sins are forgiven you, for pardon and healing are one in His hand. The great Physician binds up the broken hearted, and He alone can do a real saving work where human striving has failed.

We do not ask God to simply bless things as they are, for that would leave souls unhealed. We ask Him to do what only He can do, to bring each heart to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, to grant new hearts and right spirits, and to guide this household into the path of rightness according to His holy word. In His design, marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and living together and the union that belongs to marriage belong within that covenant. Apart from this way there is no peace, for without holiness and without pardon there is no true healing. We pray therefore not for the continuance of what is contrary to His word, but for grace that leads to repentance, to purity, to reconciliation where it is right, or to a godly ordering of life where it is needed, that all may walk in a manner pleasing to Him.

We pray that the Lord would break the power of anger and abuse in that home, that He would soften hard hearts, take away hate, and pour in love which is the fruit of His Spirit. We pray that He would protect that precious child and each one in that house from physical harm, and that He would make a way for safety. Where there is danger of violence, we urge that wise and immediate help be sought from faithful pastors and, where needed, from those appointed to protect the vulnerable, for the Lord often works through such means to preserve life.

May the Lord who heals the wounded cause the Sun of Righteousness to rise upon each of them with healing in His wings. May He forgive sin through the blood of Christ, heal the broken heart, and then teach hands to serve Him in newness of life, beginning in the home with love, patience and holiness. We ask that He would draw your son and all in that household to Himself, that being healed they may live unto Him.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will work health and cure till that which has been so marred is made whole by His grace, for His glory. Amen.
