We hear the weariness in your spirit and the cry of your heart for justice. The world is indeed filled with injustices, and it can feel overwhelming, especially when it seems that those who seek to live godly lives face even greater trials. But we want to remind you of the hope we have in Christ Jesus, who has overcome the world. The apostle Paul wrote, "We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair; pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed" (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 WEB). Even in the midst of suffering, we are not abandoned.

You are right to long for Christ’s return, for He will make all things right. The book of Revelation assures us, "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away" (Revelation 21:4 WEB). Until that day, we are called to stand firm in faith, trusting that God sees every injustice and will avenge His people in His perfect timing. The Lord is a righteous judge, and He will not forget the cries of His children (Psalm 9:7-10 WEB).

We must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). The injustices we see are often the result of a fallen world under the influence of the enemy. But we do not fight alone, we fight with the armor of God, standing firm in truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17 WEB). We must resist the temptation to grow bitter or weary, for the Lord calls us to overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, weary from the injustices we see in this world. Lord, we know that You are just and righteous, and that You see every wrong that has been done. We ask for Your strength to endure, for Your peace to guard our hearts, and for Your justice to prevail. Help us to trust in Your timing, knowing that You will avenge Your people and make all things right. Give us the courage to stand firm in faith, even when the world seems against us. Remind us that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of darkness, and equip us with Your armor to stand strong. Lord, we long for the day when You will return and wipe away every tear. Until then, help us to be lights in this dark world, showing Your love and truth to those around us. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and coming King. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God. The trials you face now are temporary, but the glory that awaits those who love Him is eternal (Romans 8:18 WEB). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB), and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9 WEB). The Lord is coming soon, and He will right every wrong. Until then, let us continue to pray, to stand, and to trust in Him.

We hear you. This kind of bone-deep weariness with injustice and abuse isn't a failure of faith, it's evidence that your heart is tuned to what grieves the heart of God. When we keep crying "how long, Lord," we're joining the psalmists and all of God's people throughout history who have groaned under the weight of a broken world. The longing for Christ's return and for His righteous intervention is meant to be shared, and you don't carry it alone.

One thing that can help when God feels painfully silent is to anchor your hope in what you already know to be true about His character rather than what you can see Him doing right now. He is just. He does see. He is not indifferent. His timing often feels agonizingly slow to us, but His promise to make all things right hasn't slipped His mind. In the meantime, we're not called to simply grit our teeth and wait passively. Even small acts of justice and mercy done in Jesus' name, checking on a struggling neighbor, speaking up for someone being mistreated, supporting ministries that care for abuse survivors, can be lifelines that remind us God is still at work through His people, even when the big picture looks dark.

It may also be wise to step back periodically from the constant stream of news and outrage that wears us down. Not to bury your head, but to give your soul room to breathe and remember that the battle ultimately belongs to the Lord.

Lord Jesus, our sister is exhausted from seeing so much wrong and waiting so long. Refresh her spirit tonight. Remind her that You are not slow, You are patient because You want many to be saved, and in the meantime, You are collecting every tear. Give her the resilience to keep loving and doing good without burning out. Hold her close, and come quickly. In Your name we pray. Amen.

The weariness of the soul under continual injustice is a heavy burden, yet there is a sacred nearness in this very groan. To whom are you coming with this cry? It is to Him, the living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God and precious. The abuse you endure, the daily provocations that rake against the spirit, these are the very spurs that drive you to keep coming. Do not think the way is to come once and then settle into ease; the whole Christian life is drawn in one line, coming unto Christ. Coming for help, coming for health, coming for that blessed relief which shall surely arrive when the hour strikes. The day of vengeance is in His heart, and it shall not tarry beyond the appointed season. Every winged hour hastens His advent, and the pendulum of time beats steadily toward that great event. It may seem an hour in His esteem because it is so sure, though our watches of the night grow long in the waiting.

You cry for Him to come quickly and avenge His people. That is no discordant note but the very harmony of the promise. To proclaim the day of vengeance of our God rings out side by side with the year of His redeemed. At His second coming, the acceptance of His saints shall be manifested in fullness, while upon those who hardened themselves in opposition there falls the overwhelming storm. Yet let not the blazing light of that future glory obscure the milder radiance of the cross, where vengeance and acceptance first met. We are made near by His blood, even now. It is not only by the second advent that we draw close, but by the first, where He endured the contradiction of sinners against Himself. Consider Him who endured such hostility, lest you be weary and faint in your mind. He who came to suffer rather than to reign, who bore injustice with singular courage and holy equanimity, has invested brave endurance with honor. There is a halo round about our griefs since Jesus Christ endured them first.

You are tempted to a deep soul-weariness, fearing perhaps that your work or witness fails, or that the cause is less than you hoped. This is heart-weariness, and against it you must resolutely fight, not by mustering your own strength, but by waiting upon the Lord to renew it. Our fear of coming short must never lead us into unbelief, for that would be to come short at once. The word preached must be mixed with faith in those who hear it. Keep coming, therefore, with greater expectation, even when the injustice mounts. The reaping time is coming. The next watch of the night may reveal the Master returning, and blessed are those servants whom He finds watching. He is even now upon the road, traveling as fast as wisdom allows. Let this thought stir you up: the Lord will come. He has promised to come in person, not merely by death, but in triumphant return. Until that hour, let it be the habit of your life to be incessantly coming to the heavenly Father, coming for more reasons, coming for larger blessings, coming in one lifelong perpetual coming, and all because He bids you come.

I hear the cry of your heart, worn down by injustice and aching for relief. The burden is heavy, and the seeming triumph of wrong over right tests the soul. Yet take comfort: the Lord is not blind to these things, and His delay is not neglect. He gives space for repentance, but He will surely come. His appearing will not be secret; it will be as plain as lightning from east to west, with the trumpet of His voice raising all to judgment. At that moment, every hidden thing will be laid bare, and the righteous Judge will set all things straight.

But be careful that your longing for justice does not turn into your own hand taking vengeance. The moment you avenge yourself, you forfeit God’s avenging on your behalf. For He says, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.” Make room for His wrath; leave it to Him. If you strike back when struck, you only make yourself equal to the offender. What victory is that? The true triumph is to return good for evil. When you are wronged, do good to the one who wronged you. Then you heap shame upon him, and God Himself rises as your defender. All who witness your patience will admire your strength, and your enemy will be reproached by his own conscience, a punishment more bitter than any you could inflict. For the unrighteous man carries his own scourge within, a conscience that no riches or flattery can silence. He is already tormented, while you, if you forgive, go free.

Think how a father deals with his children. He does not punish at once, but warns again and again, yearning to spare them. Even when he must finally act, he does so with grief. So too does God bear with evil, giving warning upon warning, because He desires not the death of a sinner but that he turn and live. Your own patient endurance is part of that call. When you are despised, do not curse; lament and pray. Such tears cry out louder than any demand for revenge, and they summon the Lord’s hand in His own time.

Do not grow weary. The second coming will not tarry beyond the appointed hour. The trumpet will sound, and the dead shall rise. Until then, entrust your cause to the just Judge, and let patience complete its work. The abuse you suffer is seen, and the Day is coming when every wrong will be avenged perfectly, not by your wrath, but by His righteous justice. Hold fast in faith, doing good, and your deliverance will shine like the dawn.
