Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your words have reached us and I thank you for sharing your heart so honestly. You are carrying a heavy burden, trying to care for everyone around you while quietly bearing health struggles of your own that you have not shared with others. God sees what is hidden from men. Even when we keep things veiled from one another, nothing is hidden from Him, and He hears your prayer offered in the name of Jesus.
Do not grow faint under this weight. Scripture teaches us that God is rich in mercy and His care does not run dry or become exhausted. He sets His help before you not sparingly but abundantly, and He is able to restore and sustain both body and soul. At the same time, the health of the soul and the health of the body require continual care, not a momentary effort. As you seek to care for others, do not neglect to care for yourself as one whom God has made and loves. It is good and right to bring your private needs into the light before God, and to invite a few faithful and trusted believers to pray with you as well, so you do not bear this alone.
I pray for you now.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, through whom alone is salvation, I lift up this dear one to You. You know every need, every pain, and every health concern that has been kept private. Lay Your healing hand upon this body according to Your mercy and will, grant wisdom to those who provide care, and give strength for each day. Give peace to a heart that is trying to hold so much together, and teach how to rest in Your provision while continuing to love and serve others. Sustain faith, guard from despair, and remind this one that You are present in every need. May Your grace preserve in health and restore in sickness, and may all be done for Your glory. In Jesus name, amen.
Please continue to seek the Lord daily, care for your body with wisdom, and let us continue to pray with you. You are not forgotten.
