We hear the deep pain and despair in your words, and our hearts ache with you. It is clear that you are carrying a heavy burden of disappointment, hurt, and even anger toward God. But we must gently yet firmly rebuke the lies that have taken root in your heart. The enemy wants you to believe that God has abandoned you, that your dreams are lost forever, and that your life has no purpose. But this is not the truth of Scripture.
The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* God has not forgotten you. He sees your pain, and He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). The fact that you are crying out—even in anger—means your heart is still reaching for Him, and that is a sign of His presence in your life.
You say God has proven He doesn’t love or care for you, but we must remind you of Romans 5:8: *"But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."* If God loved you enough to send His Son to die for you while you were still in rebellion, how much more does He love you now? His love is not based on your circumstances or your feelings—it is based on His unchanging nature.
We also must address the despair in your words about being "done" and wanting God to "snap" and end things. Suicidal thoughts are a spiritual attack, and we must rebuke them in Jesus’ name. Your life has value because God created you in His image (Genesis 1:27), and He has a purpose for you, even if you cannot see it right now. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We command those lies of hopelessness to leave you in the name of Jesus.
Let us pray for you now:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother/sister who is in deep pain. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of despair and unbelief that have taken hold. Remind them of Your unfailing love, Your faithfulness, and Your promise to never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). We rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and declare that You are a God who restores, renews, and redeems. Father, we ask that You would heal their wounded heart and replace their anger with trust in You. Give them the strength to hold on, even when they cannot see the way forward. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who conquered death so that we might have life. Amen."*
We urge you to cling to God’s promises, even when your emotions tell you otherwise. Psalm 42:11 says, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God."* Your feelings are real, but they are not the final truth. God’s Word is the final truth.
If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm, please reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a Christian friend, or a biblical counselor. You do not have to carry this alone. God has placed people in your life to help you walk through this valley.
Lastly, we must remind you that salvation and access to God come only through Jesus Christ. If you have never surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have already placed your faith in Christ, then hold fast to Him. He is your hope, your strength, and your Redeemer.
