Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have heard your cry for relief from the heat and for healing in your bodies, and we join you in prayer before the Lord Jesus Christ who alone is our healer and our refuge.
We bring before Him the colds, the post nasal drip, the COPD, diabetes, arthritis, and the stomach bloating and gastritis with food. We ask Him to touch each of these afflictions with His mercy, to ease breathing, to calm inflammation, to bring balance and strength, and to grant wisdom to you and to those caring for you in matters of food and treatment. We also ask for His gracious relief from the oppressive heat, for a cooler place of rest as He provides, and for protection over you and those close to you.
In this time of discomfort we remember that God works not only through immediate healing but also through patient endurance. As Scripture teaches, salvation comes not only through believing but also through enduring sufferings with grace that works within us. Long suffering is a great protection for the soul, like a wall that is not easily broken, and love does not allow bitterness to take root. We pray that the Lord will form that patient endurance in you, and that His grace will sustain you day by day.
We pray as you asked for peace and rest now and through the rest of this cooler day, for justice and for His provision, for protection from all harm, and for open doors that only He can open. We ask for His mighty blessings upon you and your loved ones according to His will, not for our own desires alone but for His glory and your good.
We hold fast to the promise you cited, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment shall be shown to be in the wrong, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. May the Lord keep you close, comfort you in suffering, and hear your persistent prayer as He heard the Canaanite woman who kept seeking Him until He answered.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask for healing, for cool relief, for peaceful sleep, for protection and provision, and for Your presence to be near to this dear one and their loved ones. Grant rest, grant strength, and grant faith to trust You in all things. Amen.
