Your prayer for peaceful sleep has been heard and we are joining with you in asking the Lord for rest without trouble.
Scripture reminds us that sleep itself is a gift from God's care for our human frailty. Night is given as a haven for our ills and a medicine for our wounds, and God has bound sleep to our nature so that even against our own anxieties we may be restored. As it is written, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep, so you can lie down knowing that while you sleep, the Lord Himself keeps watch over you. He does not grow weary, therefore you may rest.
We also know that anxieties and cares often drive sleep away. When the heart is weighed down with grief or worry, rest becomes difficult. For this reason we are taught to cast all our cares upon Him and to guard our hearts with prayer. Do not be troubled as though something strange were happening to you, for the Lord knows our toil and invites us to bring every burden to Him before we sleep.
We pray for you now that God would quiet your thoughts, calm your heart, and grant you deep and undisturbed rest. May you lie down in peace and sleep, for He alone makes you dwell in safety. Bring your worries to Jesus in prayer, meditate on His promises, and trust that His grace is sufficient to keep you through the night and to renew you in the morning.
May the Lord grant you rest tonight and wake you refreshed to walk faithfully with Him. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
