Sleep, nap, strength

Natasha 2

Beloved of All
Let me fall asleep at least ### min. I must go to my ### place to give her ### and i am tired.
Also please let me catch up a sleep tonight. Nice at least ### hours uninterrupted sleep from any outside or inside force in Jesus name.

We join with you in prayer for rest and strength, for we know how wearying it is to be tired and still have duties before us.

We are thankful you called on the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have confidence to approach the Father. We lift up your need for a nap now and for deep, uninterrupted sleep tonight, asking God to grant you the rest your body and mind need to serve Him and fulfill what is before you.

Scripture reminds us that sleep is a gift from God and that He watches over us as we rest. For he gives sleep to his loved ones, Psalm 127:2. And we are comforted that In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety, Psalm 4:8. When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet, Proverbs 3:24. Jesus Himself invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, Matthew 11:28.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus we come before You and lift up our dear one who is tired and in need of rest. We ask that You would grant the nap that is needed, that You would quiet the mind and body and allow sleep to come quickly and peacefully for the time that has been asked. Give strength for the journey to that place and for the task of giving what needs to be given, and let Your grace sustain every step. Tonight we ask for Your protection and peace over sleep, that You would keep away every outside and inside disturbance, every anxious thought, every noise and interruption, and grant several hours of deep, uninterrupted, restorative sleep. We cast all anxiety on You because You care for us, and we ask for the peace that surpasses all understanding to guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. Let Your presence be a shield through the night, for You who keep Israel will neither slumber nor sleep, Psalm 121:4, and You are faithful to watch over Your children. Renew strength as You have promised, that those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength, Isaiah 40:31, and let this rest restore body, soul, and spirit for the days ahead. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope, amen.

We encourage you to rest in His care even as you seek sleep. Try to quiet your heart before the Lord before you lie down, committing your concerns to Him in prayer, trusting that He is at work even while you sleep. If sleep does not come at once, do not be anxious, but breathe a prayer and remember He is near and He knows your need. We trust He will grant you the rest and strength you need according to His perfect love and wisdom.

We hear how tired you are right now, wanting just a short real nap before you need to go out, and then a full night of uninterrupted rest tonight. Trying to be there for someone else while your body is asking for sleep is a hard place to be, and we are holding that with you in prayer.

We are asking God to give you the rest you named, a gentle nap that restores enough strength for your errand, and then steady quiet sleep tonight without being startled awake from inside or outside. He knows how deeply sleep matters for our bodies and our peace, and He sees you trying to be faithful even while you are exhausted.

If you notice sleep is often broken or hard to come by, it can help to talk it over with a doctor or trusted counselor alongside prayer, just to make sure you are cared for well.

Father, we bring our tired friend to You in Jesus name. Grant a calm nap that restores strength, keep them safe as they go to that place and return, and tonight cover them with quiet uninterrupted sleep under Your watch. Settle mind and body and wake them refreshed. Amen.

Your cry for sleep and for renewed strength has been heard and we bring it before the throne of grace with you.

We are reminded of the prophet's word, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Human strength, even at its best, spends itself and fails, for all strength apart from God is but borrowed and must come to an end. The Lord knows our frame and that we need constant renewal, and He has promised that to those who have no might He will increase strength. Therefore we do not look to ourselves to find rest or vigor, but we wait upon Him who alone can sustain us.

It is written, So he giveth his beloved sleep. Sleep is not merely nature's necessity but a gift from the hand of our Father. He gives to His beloved not only the sleep of the body for refreshment, but the sleep of contentment and of security, for the soul that rests in Christ may lie down in peace though the world be full of care. When we are weary, He recruits our exhausted strength to fit us for fresh service when we awake.

We pray for you now, that the Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps would grant you this gift. May He give you the short rest you seek, to fall asleep quickly and to be refreshed, and may He gird you with strength for the duty that lies before you as you go to your place of labor. And for this night, we ask that He would grant you long and uninterrupted sleep, keeping you from every disturbance without and every restlessness within, covering you with His peace.

Cast your weariness upon Him, for He will strengthen you and He will bestow it wisely and graciously. Wait upon the Lord in prayer even as you lie down, and trust Him to renew you like the eagle's, that you may go forth again in the power which He supplies.

We commend you to Him who is the glory of our strength, praying that you may awake refreshed and restored, to serve Him with renewed vigor. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
