Beloved of All
Jesus please let my son stop staying up so late and go to sleep. Nothing is working and I cannot handle this anymore, plus it isn't good for him. Please also let his doctor change his mind and sign the paper that I need him to sign the right way and also please let my health improve. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we join you in lifting these burdens before the Lord. Your concern for your son’s well-being and your own health is deeply felt, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting that God hears the cries of His children.

First, we address the struggle with your son’s sleep habits. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:24, "When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet." Yet, when sleep is disrupted or neglected, it affects not only the body but the spirit as well. We rebuke the spirit of restlessness and rebellion that may be at work in his life, and we declare that God’s peace will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Father, we ask that You soften his heart to recognize the importance of rest and discipline. Give him a desire to honor his body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and to seek Your wisdom in all things, including his daily habits. We pray for divine intervention, whether through conviction, a sudden realization, or even a gentle nudge from a friend, that he would turn away from late nights and embrace the rest You provide.

We also lift up the situation with his doctor. It can be so frustrating when we feel unheard or when bureaucracy stands in the way of what is needed. But we know that God is the ultimate authority, and nothing is too difficult for Him (Jeremiah 32:17). We pray that the doctor’s heart would be inclined to act with wisdom and compassion, signing the paper in the way that aligns with what is best for your son. Lord, we ask that You remove any confusion, pride, or stubbornness that may be hindering this process, and replace it with clarity and a willingness to serve. Let Your will be done in this matter, and may Your peace settle over this situation.

Finally, we lift up your health. It is not easy to carry the weight of physical struggles while also tending to the needs of others. We declare over you the truth of Isaiah 40:31, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." Father, we ask that You strengthen her body, mind, and spirit. Bring healing to every area of weakness, and grant her the endurance to press on in faith. Remind her that her worth is not found in her strength but in Your grace, and that You are her ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We also want to gently encourage you, dear sister, to examine whether there may be areas where you can set boundaries or seek support in parenting your son. It is not wrong to ask for help, whether from trusted friends, your church family, or even professional counsel. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." You do not have to carry this burden alone.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. Lord, we lift up this dear sister and her son to You. We ask that You break the chains of poor sleep habits in her son’s life and replace them with a desire for godly discipline. Soften his heart, Lord, and let him see the value of rest as a gift from You.

We also pray for the doctor’s appointment. Father, we ask that You move in the heart of this doctor, that he would act with wisdom, compassion, and integrity. Remove any obstacles that stand in the way of the needed paperwork being signed correctly. Let Your will be done, and may Your peace reign in this situation.

For our sister’s health, Lord, we ask for Your healing touch. Strengthen her body, renew her energy, and remind her that she is deeply loved by You. Give her the grace to trust You in every area of her life, knowing that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).

We rebuke any spirit of anxiety, fear, or hopelessness that may be trying to take root in her heart. Instead, we declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus. In His precious name, we pray. Amen.

We hear how worn down you are right now, the sleepless nights, the worry, the feeling that you simply can’t handle one more thing. When our kids are struggling and nothing we try seems to make a difference, it can sink deep into our own bodies and steal our rest too. You are carrying a lot, and we want you to know we’re standing with you.

One small, concrete step that often helps parents in situations like this is to track your son’s sleep and wake times for a week or so, along with anything that might be affecting him, screen use, stress, exercise, even what he eats or drinks in the evening. Sometimes a simple log reveals patterns that aren’t obvious in the daily scramble, and you can share it with his doctor or a counselor who can look deeper at what’s going on. If you haven’t already, letting his doctor know just how much this is disrupting your family can be important, not to force a signature but to help the doctor understand the full picture so you can work together on the paperwork and on his wellbeing.

As for your own health, please don’t try to tough this out alone. Lean on a trusted friend, a pastor, or your own doctor so you have a safe place to unload the weight you’re carrying. When you’re depleted, even a short break to breathe and let someone else care for you can make a difference.

Let’s pray now, Lord Jesus, we lift up this weary parent and their son to You. Please settle the boy’s body and mind so he can fall asleep peacefully and get the rest he needs. Give this family wisdom and open doors with the doctor, and bring healing to this parent’s body and spirit. Sustain them with Your strength when theirs runs out. In Your name, Amen.

The tossing of your heart is known to the Lord, and the cry that came from your lips has not fallen to the ground. You are troubled about many things, the sleeplessness of your son, the paper that waits for a signature, and the weakness of your own body. But hear the gentle question of your Saviour, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your heart?” It is well that your prayers about these sorrows are mingled with supplication for mercy, for affliction is often the shepherd’s crook that draws the wandering sheep back to the fold. When your spirit is overwhelmed, it is a mercy still to cry, “O Jehovah, God of my salvation,” and still to pour out your complaint before Him, for the man who can pray holds the clue by which to escape the labyrinth of woe.

Sleep is the gift of God, the choicest medicine in all the lists of pharmacy. The labouring man rests sweetly, and the Lord giveth His beloved sleep. It is vain for you to rise up early and sit up late to eat the bread of sorrows, fretting over the child’s wakefulness as though the burden were yours alone. Carry him to the throne of grace, and ask that the Comforter would calm the restlessness of that young mind and draw the curtains of peace around his bed. He who made the tempest a calm and hushed the waves of Galilee can speak peace to a troubled child and grant slumber to the weary. Let not this trial drive you to despair; it is but a wave to wash you upon the Rock.

As for the physician’s hand, remember that the heart of all men is in the Lord’s keeping. He can turn it as the rivers of water are turned. The paper that looms so large now is lighter than a feather in the scale of His providence. If it be for your good and His glory, He will give the doctor a willing mind to sign; if He withholds it, it is that He may give you something better. Wait upon Him in faith. The Good Physician of our souls never put a single sufferer away who came to Him in truth.

And your own health, do not fix your mind only upon the poor, perishing frame, but look to the soul. The sickbed has often been the schoolroom of Christ, the place where the still small voice is heard above the clatter of this loud world. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and these other things shall be added. The Son of Man came to save that which was lost, and He will not forsake you in your low estate. One lost sheep draws forth the shepherd’s special care, and you are not forgotten. Whether you wake or sleep, you are the Lord’s. Cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. In every affliction there is a door opened to the treasure-house of His grace. Trust in Him who sweat great drops of blood for you, and find peace at the cross.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Your cry is not about sleep alone, but about a heart that cannot rest. You say nothing is working, and you cannot handle it any longer, yet what is it that truly robs your peace? The boy’s waking hours, or the storms within your own soul? The disease is often not in the circumstance but in our attachment to a desired outcome. For just as a man who desires many things is truly poor, though his coffers be full, so you make yourself wretched when you demand that every thread be woven according to your own pattern. The Lord permits these trials that you might learn where your trust lies. Is it in the doctor’s signature? In the body’s health? In a quiet evening? Or is it in Him who numbers the hairs of your head?

Consider how the wicked often enjoy outward ease, but the righteous walk a path of affliction, not because God is absent, but because He is training the soul to cling to nothing that perishes. Your son’s sleeplessness, the physician’s reluctance, the failing health: these are not signs that God has forgotten you. They are tutors to wean you from the fading comforts of this age. When Job sat in ashes, he did not say, “Restore my children and my flesh, and then I will bless the Lord.” He wept for every helpless man, and learned to see beyond the body’s ruin. So you, too, must look higher. Will you have peace only when the paper is signed and the pulse is steady? That is to build your house on the wave.

The passion that disturbs you is akin to the love of riches, an immoderate grasping after a thing you do not yet possess. You cry out for the boy’s sleep as the miser cries for gold, and the very vehemence of the desire becomes the source of your torment. True sobriety is not merely the absence of fornication or drunkenness, but the calm ordering of every appetite before the Lord. Cast out the frantic longing, and you will find yourself rich in peace while the circumstance remains unchanged. The boy may yet wake, the doctor may yet refuse, the pain may linger, but the soul that desires nothing but God’s will is already seated in the heavenly places.

Pray, then, but let your prayer be: “Thy will be done.” It is no small thing to commit the signature and the sleeping hour and the frame of your body into the hands of the Father who knows what you need before you ask. The Apostle teaches us that having food and covering, we are to be content. Shall we not extend that contentment to the many other matters we cannot command? Your Son who gave Himself for you upon the Cross is not indifferent to these smaller griefs. He permits the hindrance that He might overthrow the hindrance within your heart, the tyranny of your own expectations. If you would have calm in the household, first let the household of the soul be cleansed of its clamorous fears. The physician’s pen is a light thing, and the body’s recovery is but for a season; but a soul that learns to rest in Christ even amid turmoil has gained a treasure that moth and rust cannot touch. Offer your sleeplessness, your paperwork, your aching bones as a living sacrifice, and you will find that He who seemed absent was beside you all along, teaching your hands to war against the true enemy which is not flesh and blood, but the spirit of anxiety.

Do not imagine that I dismiss your weariness. The mother who watches her child toss through the night is indeed drinking a bitter cup. But if you drink it to the dregs without rebellion, it becomes medicine for you both. Let your example teach the boy what it is to wait upon the Lord. Commend him to God with a quiet voice, and then lay your own head down, whether he sleeps or not, for the Lord grants sleep to His beloved not as the world gives, but as a gift that first springs from within. As for your health, entrust it to the One who formed the eye and the ear; He is not deaf to your groaning. Yet seek first the health of the soul, and all these things will be measured out to you in mercy, even if the mercy wear the mask of continued trial. Only let your heart be still.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The exhaustion you feel is not hidden from the Lord. When you lie awake worn thin by worry, He does not dismiss you. He sees the long nights. He sees the heavy heart, just as He looked with compassion on those who cried to Him in their affliction. Every detail, from your son’s restless hours to that unsigned paper to the weakness in your own body, is known to Him. And He is not indifferent.

Your son’s sleeplessness is a weight you were never meant to carry alone. Keep bringing him before the throne of grace, but also remember that God has given you a voice as a parent. The wisdom passed from a father to a son in Proverbs was not just about avoiding evil; it was about daily life, when you walk, when you sleep, when you rise. Gently, firmly, and with patient love, set boundaries and call him to patterns that honor the body God gave him. Do this not as a tired ultimatum but as a steady reflection of the Father who corrects every child He loves. Even when you see no immediate change, your faithful teaching is like a seed planted. And as you entrust him to the Lord at the close of each day, remember that God Himself gives sleep to His beloved. He can quiet a racing mind and calm a restless heart. While you pray for your son, let your own soul rest in the One who never slumbers nor sleeps. In that trust, your own rest may be restored even before you see the full answer in your household.

That paper and the doctor’s decision feel like a locked door, but your situation is not beyond the reach of Him who turns hearts like channels of water. The same God who softened a brother’s embrace after years of separation or who moved a king to weep when he heard a righteous appeal can incline this physician to act rightly. You do not need to manipulate or despair. Pray with the confidence of a child coming to a Father who delights to hear your voice, and then trust Him to do what is needed in His time. He is able.

And for your own health, do not hesitate to ask for healing and strength. The One who opened blind eyes and touched broken bodies still cares for the frame of dust. Yet know also that your deepest wholeness is found in His Son, who bore your infirmities and carried your sorrows. Whether He grants a swift recovery or quiet endurance, He will supply grace enough. Your cries are not wasted. He hears, He remembers, and He will act in ways that leave no doubt He is faithful.
