We join with you in prayer and bring each of these burdens before our heavenly Father together in Jesus' name.
We understand your worry tonight about your cats and the skincare product, and we also hear your concern for your pet whose voice has become hoarse. We know the Lord cares for His creation and He sees your tender heart toward the animals He has entrusted to you. The Scripture tells us, A righteous man respects the life of his animal, Proverbs 12:10, and that not one sparrow will fall to the ground without your Father, Matthew 10:29. He cares for these little ones and He cares for you as you care for them. We pray for your peace and for their protection, and we encourage you to take practical steps as well, to gently wash any residue from your skin and theirs if needed, to keep them from licking the area, to watch them closely, and to contact a veterinarian promptly if you see any signs of distress, for God often works through the wisdom and help He provides.
We also lift up your struggle with overeating and binge eating. We know this can feel like a heavy battle with discouragement and shame. Scripture reminds us that our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, and that we are called to glorify God in our bodies, whether we eat or drink, to do all to the glory of God, 1 Corinthians 10:31. This is not to condemn you but to remind you that God desires to bring self-control and healing through His Spirit, for the fruit of the Spirit includes self-control, Galatians 5:22-23. We pray that He will strengthen you to find your comfort and fullness in Him rather than in food, and we encourage you to seek wise counsel, whether through a trusted pastor, counselor, or medical provider, and to bring this struggle into the light with accountability and prayer.
We also hear your anxiety about thoughts of your loved ones passing away. Such thoughts can bring deep fear and sorrow. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. We are told to not be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We pray that you may cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7, and that you will rest in knowing that your loved ones are in the hands of a sovereign and merciful God who numbers our days and holds us with everlasting love.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus and lift up this dear one to You. Lord, we ask for Your protecting hand over these beloved cats, that no harm would come to them from this product, and we ask for healing and restored health for the pet whose voice is hoarse, that You would guide any care needed. Lord, we ask for Your strength and grace in the battle with overeating, that You would bring healing to body and mind, replace shame with Your forgiveness, and teach self-control and reliance on You for comfort. Father, we ask for Your perfect peace to quiet anxious thoughts about loved ones passing, to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and to remind this dear one that You hold all our days and that You are near to those who are heavy burdened. Draw this one closer to Yourself through Jesus Christ our Lord, and let Your will be done in each of these needs. We ask all this in Jesus' name, amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring every worry to Him in prayer, to watch over your pets with practical care, and to seek support for the struggles with eating and anxiety, trusting that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.
