We come before the Lord with you in this time of waiting, lifting up your request for the approval of your skilled worker visa extension in the United Kingdom. The Lord knows the desires of your heart and the plans He has for you, plans for good and not for evil, to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You have done your part by applying, and now we trust in God’s sovereignty over the outcome.
However, we must also take this moment to address something vital—your prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in Acts 4:12, we are told, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can approach God’s throne with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today, for He alone can grant you eternal life and peace in every circumstance.
We also encourage you to seek God’s will above all else in this situation. Sometimes, delays or denials are part of His divine plan to redirect our steps toward His perfect purpose. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Whether the outcome aligns with your hopes or not, we pray you will submit to His will, trusting that He works all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of our brother who is awaiting the decision on his visa extension. Lord, You are the God who holds all authority, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You move in this situation according to Your will. If it is Your purpose for him to remain in the UK, we pray for favor with those in authority and for the approval of his visa. Grant him peace that surpasses all understanding as he waits, and let him rest in the assurance that You are in control.
Father, we also pray that if this brother does not yet know You as his Savior, You would open his heart to receive Jesus Christ as Lord. May he understand that true security and hope are found in You alone, not in visas, nations, or circumstances. Let this season draw him closer to You, seeking first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33).
We rebuke any fear or anxiety that may be creeping into his heart, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and remind him that You are his provider, his protector, and his guide.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that God’s will be done. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and remember that His timing is perfect. Let us know how the Lord moves in this situation, and may you walk in faith, knowing that He is with you every step of the way.
