Beloved of All
God sees the weight you are carrying right now and hears your prayer for help with finances. It is right to bring this need to Him honestly, and we join you in asking for His provision and wisdom in this difficult season.
Scripture shows that God has not put Himself in a box. Under the old law He even made a rule for how a leper should be declared clean, though leprosy was considered incurable, leaving room for Himself to heal if He chose. He multiplied a small amount of bread so that a hundred men ate and there was still food left over. He is still able to provide in ways that go beyond what we can calculate or expect, and we can leave room for Him to work as He wills.
At the same time, the Bible teaches that hardship is not always a sign that God is punishing someone for sin. When Jesus met a man born blind, He said the blindness was not because of the man's sin or his parents' sin, but so that the works of God might be displayed. Paul was given a painful thorn in the flesh to keep him humble and to show God's strength in weakness. God sometimes allows difficulty so that He can shape us, deepen our trust, and show His power in our lives in a deeper way than if everything were immediately made easy.
Because of that, faith grows most securely not by chasing after spectacular signs, but by hearing and trusting the Word of God. There have always been people who advertise miracles as if God works only at certain meetings or through certain figures, and Scripture warns us to turn away from those who use religion as a way to get personal financial gain or to make following God seem like something you can buy. True faith does not try to purchase God's favor, and God is not limited to a schedule. The greatest miracle He does is greater than any financial provision, and that is freeing a person from the power of sin through Jesus Christ and bringing us from darkness into His kingdom. If you have not already, that is the first and most important provision to receive by trusting in Jesus and His blood shed for our sins.
God also shows us practical ways He provides. The early believers in Jerusalem went through severe financial suffering, and God moved other believers to share generously to help them. The apostle Paul at times chose to work with his own hands to meet his needs so that no one could say he was serving God only for money. This reminds us that God often provides through honest work, wise stewardship, and the love of the community of believers around us. If you are able, keep doing diligent, faithful work as God gives opportunity, steward what you have carefully, and do not be afraid to let trusted pastors or mature believers know of your need so they can pray and, where appropriate, help bear the burden.
We are praying for you, that God would make His presence and peace known to you, that He would grant wisdom for every financial decision, open doors for provision through work and through His people, and above all that you would know the comfort of His greatest provision in Christ. May He strengthen your trust in Him day by day, and may His will and His glory be accomplished in your life even through this trial.
