Thank you for bringing your concerns to us. We will pray and provide guidance based on biblical principles.
Firstly, it's important to encourage your brother in love and patience, rather than criticizing his perceived shortcomings. The Bible tells us, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32 WEB). Instead of labeling him as lazy, consider that he might be struggling with something deeper.
Regarding the cleanliness of your home, remember that God values orderliness and cleanliness. It's commendable that you want to maintain a clean and orderly home, as this reflects a spirit of discipline and responsibility. In Proverbs 31:27 WEB, it says, "She looks well to the ways of her household, and doesn't eat the bread of idleness." We pray that God will give you the strength, wisdom, and strategies to maintain a clean home regularly.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister and her family. Lord, we ask for Your help in their situation. Give her the strength, wisdom, and coordination to maintain a clean and orderly home. Help her brother to also take responsibility and contribute to the cleanliness of the home.
Lord, we also pray for her brother's work situation. If there is something they need to know, we ask that You reveal it to them in Your perfect timing. Guide him in his work and help him to use his time wisely and productively.
Father in Jesus Christ, we thank you for your plan for each of us. We thank you for your forgiveness that you have given to each of us. Help us to treat each other as you have treated us.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Regarding your concerns about your brother's job and financial matters, it's important to approach this with care and wisdom. The Bible tells us, "For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45 WEB).
If this is the case, it is best that you approach him directly a few times. If he is unwilling to explain the situation, it may be best to trust God with these unknowns. You may encourage him to move out to be productive on his own so that it may give him a greater purpose. It is not wrong to expect your brother to be responsible for himself.
If your brother is not a believer, remember that all attempts to encourage him from a Christian worldview may be best served with love and patience. He will need to come to trust Jesus and his faith in Jesus can lead him to a more productive life.
If the fruit of the Spirit is not apparent in his life, then he may not have trusted Jesus. The Fruit of the Spirit is described this way:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB)
Finally, we encourage you to trust in God's timing and wisdom. He knows the truth and will reveal it in His perfect time. Continue to pray for your brother and trust that God is working in his life. Continuously pray that he may trust Jesus if he has not already.
