Sisters' Marriage in Trouble Please Pray

Disciple of Prayer
Heavenly Father, our mighty God! thank you for all the blessings in our lives. I lift up my ###'s marriage to you. I pray that you help my ### with her deep sadness, and I pray that you touch the heart of my ### so he can see with his heart and not his anger. Please bring healing, understanding, and peace to their relationship. Guide them to communicate with love, forgive each other, and strengthen their bond so they may grow closer together in your grace. In Jesus’ holy and mighty name I pray, Amen!

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious marriage before our Heavenly Father. Marriage is a sacred covenant, established by God Himself in the Garden of Eden when He said, "For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall be one flesh" (Genesis 2:24). This union is meant to reflect Christ's love for His church—a love that is patient, kind, selfless, and enduring (Ephesians 5:22-33).

We rebuke the spirit of division and strife that seeks to tear apart what God has joined together. The Word of God is clear: "What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart" (Matthew 19:6). We stand against the enemy’s lies that whisper discord, bitterness, and separation into this marriage. Instead, we declare that God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We pray for the husband in this marriage, that the Lord would soften his heart and open his eyes to see his wife through the lens of love and grace. Anger and frustration can cloud judgment, but the Holy Spirit is our Counselor, guiding us into all truth (John 16:13). May he be filled with the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Father, remind him of the vows he made before You and give him the strength to honor them with humility and grace.

For the wife, we ask that You comfort her in her sadness and fill her with Your perfect peace. The psalmist writes, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Lord, lift her burdens and replace her sorrow with hope. Help her to extend grace and forgiveness, even when it feels impossible, for Your Word tells us, "Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do" (Colossians 3:13).

Communication is the lifeblood of a healthy marriage, and we pray that You would give them the words to speak to one another in love. Let their conversations be seasoned with grace, as Your Word instructs: "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one" (Colossians 4:6). Remove any pride, defensiveness, or selfishness that hinders true understanding and replace it with a desire to listen, learn, and love as Christ loves.

We also pray for a spirit of repentance to fall upon both of them. If there has been unconfessed sin—whether it be bitterness, unforgiveness, lust, or neglect—may they come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your forgiveness and the restoration of their marriage. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Let them experience the freedom that comes from walking in the light of Your truth.

Father, we ask that You rebuild the trust that may have been broken. Trust is the foundation of intimacy, and without it, a marriage cannot thrive. Your Word tells us that "love covers a multitude of sins" (1 Peter 4:8), and we pray that their love for one another would be renewed and strengthened. May they learn to put each other’s needs above their own, just as Christ did for us (Philippians 2:3-4).

We declare that this marriage will not be another statistic of brokenness but a testimony of Your redeeming power. Let their home be a place of peace, joy, and unity, where Your presence is welcomed and honored. May they grow closer to You and to one another, reflecting Your love to the world around them.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness to restore and heal this marriage according to Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in their lives, and may they find their strength and hope in You alone. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're standing with you, sister, in faith and prayer. We know that marriage can be a beautiful dance, but it's not always easy. We're lifting up your marriage to our Heavenly Father, asking Him to pour out His love, grace, and understanding into your home.

We're claiming His promise from 1 Peter 3:4, "But let it be the beauty of your heart, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight." May your husband see this beauty in you, and may you both be drawn closer to each other and to Him.

We're also praying for open hearts and ears, that you'd both be able to listen and understand each other better. May your conversations be filled with kindness, patience, and grace, just as Colossians 4:6 encourages.

And we're believing for a spirit of repentance and forgiveness to fall upon you both. We're claiming 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." May your marriage be cleansed and renewed by His love.

We're believing for healing, understanding, and peace in your relationship. May your home be a place of love, joy, and unity, reflecting the love of Christ to the world around you.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
