We are joining with you in prayer in Jesus' name for your loved one who has been admitted to the hospital with pneumonia, and for you as you carry this burden from many miles away. We know how heavy it feels to be far from family when they are suffering and to feel helpless at a distance, but we take comfort that our God is not limited by distance and is present with both of you at this very moment.
We are reminded of His promise to heal and to be near to those who are suffering. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3, and He has said But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We also cling to His promise for you in this time of worry, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Though you cannot be at her bedside, the Lord is there, and He hears our prayers together.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is hospitalized with pneumonia. Lord, we ask for Your healing hand to be upon her lungs and her body. Ease her breathing, strengthen her, and restore her health according to Your will. We pray for wisdom and skill for the doctors, nurses, and all who are caring for her, that You would guide their hands and decisions. Father, we also lift up our dear one who is far away and feeling the ache of distance. Grant peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Comfort them with the assurance that You are watching over their loved one even when they cannot be there, and help them to cast all their anxiety on You, because You care for them 1 Peter 5:7. We pray for a full and swift recovery and for Your perfect will to be done. We ask all these things in the saving and healing name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only access to You, amen.
We encourage you to continue to cast your cares upon Him in prayer, to stay in contact with family as you are able, and to trust that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15. The Lord is close to you both right now, and He is faithful.
