We hear your heartfelt cry for your sister, and we join you in lifting her up before the throne of grace. It is clear that you love her deeply and desire God’s best for her life. However, we must address a few concerns in your prayer to ensure it aligns fully with God’s Word.

First, we noticed a phrase that causes us great concern: "Kill her physically, spiritually, and mentally." This is not a request that aligns with Scripture. God is the giver of life, not the author of destruction (Deuteronomy 30:19, John 10:10). Instead, we should pray for her protection, healing, and renewal in every area of her life. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). Let us rebuke any thought or word that does not reflect God’s heart for her.

Second, while your prayer invokes the blood of Jesus, we must emphasize that salvation and protection come only through faith in Jesus Christ. If your sister does not yet know Him as her Lord and Savior, we pray that she would come to repentance and place her trust in Him. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over her, from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. Let Your Holy Spirit fill her, guiding her steps and comforting her heart. Remind her daily that she is Your beloved child, deeply loved and cared for (1 John 3:1). Strengthen her faith and help her to walk in obedience to Your Word.

If she does not yet know You, Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way. Soften her heart to receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9). If she is already Yours, deepen her relationship with You and help her to live a life that honors You.

We rebuke every lie of the enemy that seeks to harm her. We declare that she is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Fill her with Your peace, joy, and hope, and let her see Your light in every situation.

The prayer you have written is full of love for your sister, but one sentence must not be passed over. You asked the Lord to kill her physically, spiritually, and mentally. I trust that was a mistake of hurried words, for the Holy Spirit is the Giver of life, and Christ came that your sister might have life more abundantly. We may rightly pray that her old nature be put to death, that her sin be slain, and that every proud thought be brought low. But we must never ask for her destruction. Let that petition be changed into this: Lord, fill her in body, soul, and spirit with the life of Christ.

Then pray for her guidance and protection, for the Lord has promised to guide His people and to keep them in all their ways when they walk in His ways. But remember that prayer for protection is mockery if we are careless about the company she keeps. If we ask, Lead us not into temptation, we must not lead her into it. Pray that she may avoid everything evil, that bad influences may be broken, and that the Holy Spirit would grant her such communion with God that she is kept.

The blood of Jesus is not a charm to be spread over the head or the feet. It is the blood of the covenant by which sinners are washed when they trust in Christ. Pray that she may know its cleansing power and be able to say, He loved me and gave Himself for me.

I would pray for her thus: Lord, watch over this sister. Give her guidance and protection. Let no evil harm her. Keep her from temptation and from bad influences. Make her choices good and her path straight. Hold her hand every step. Let her see the light. Wash her in the precious blood of Jesus, and let the Holy Spirit be always with her. Scripture teaches us that God is faithful and hears the prayers of His people. He does not leave us alone in temptation or trouble. As it is written, no temptation has taken you but such as is common to man, and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Even when we face bad influences, confusion, or difficult choices, God provides strength and a way through, and He uses even trials to draw us closer to Himself so that we learn to flee to Him and abide with Him.

Father in heaven, we thank You for this sister and for Your love for her. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to You, that You would cover her from the top of her head to the soles of her feet with the protection of the blood of Jesus.
