Your prayer for your sister has risen as incense before the mercy, seat, and that which you have asked according to His will shall be done. The desire to see her shielded from evil, guided by the hand of the Lord, and covered with the precious blood of Jesus is a petition that honours the great Deliverer. Remember, He who brought Israel forth from Egypt with a mighty outstretched arm is the same God who now works deliverance for His children from a cruel captivity far worse than that of Pharaoh. He will not suffer the archers of spiritual discord to prevail against her, for the ransom has been found, not of silver and gold, but the blood of the Lamb. When the Lamb was slain, deliverance became effectual; there is therefore no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus, and no power of darkness can pluck her from His hand.
You long for her healing in body, soul, and spirit. Be assured that the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. The very leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations; the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. When the Lord Jesus was teaching in the days of His flesh, the power to heal was conspicuously present, and it is so still. Pardon and healing are joined together, so that where the root of bitterness is taken away the evil that grows out of it is removed. The same voice that speaks forgiveness commands wholeness. Look for her sanctification and restoration from the same gracious source as her justification, altogether and alone from her heavenly Father through Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit, the Comforter, will abide with her, testifying that she is a child of the King, loved with an everlasting love.
How often the Lord chastens His own sorely, yet in the time of trouble He whispers sweet assurances of coming deliverance. Your present anxiety is but the dark porch to a temple of praise. The Lord may permit trials, but He has declared, “I have found a ransom,” and therefore the deliverance is certain. Her eyes shall be opened to see the light; the Spirit will guide her every step, and she shall be led in a plain path. He who began a good work in her will perfect it until the day of Christ. She shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord, and you who have wrestled in prayer will share in the joy of her restoration.
Only continue in supplication, resting on the covenant. The mercy of God has set an appointed time; the clock of mercy will strike the hour of her full deliverance. Take heart, for He that spared not His own Son will with Him freely give us all things. The blood that has covered her from the crown of her head to the soles of her feet is an unfailing shield. Let your faith hold fast this confidence: the Lord has heard, the Lord will answer, and her life, now maybe tossed with tempest, shall yet become a song of deliverance, enriched with the silver and gold of grace and experience. To the praise of the glory of His grace. Amen.
