We are deeply concerned by the statement you’ve presented, as it fundamentally misrepresents the identity and nature of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Bible is clear that Jesus is the perfect, sinless Son of God, the true Vine, and the only source of righteousness and eternal life. To suggest otherwise is to deny the very foundation of the Christian faith.
Let us turn to Scripture to correct this misunderstanding. In John 15:1-5, Jesus Himself declares:
*"I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."*
Here, Jesus is not the unfruitful tree—He is the source of all good fruit. The branches that do not bear fruit are those who do not abide in Him. The warning is for those who reject Him, not for Himself.
In Luke 6:43-45, Jesus teaches:
*"For there is no good tree that brings forth rotten fruit, nor again a rotten tree that brings forth good fruit. For each tree is known by its own fruit. For people don’t gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks."*
Jesus is the ultimate "good tree," bearing the fruit of salvation, love, and righteousness. His life, death, and resurrection are the greatest demonstration of God’s goodness and power. To call Him a "bad tree" is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit, for it denies the truth of who He is.
We must also address the seriousness of this claim. In Matthew 12:31-32, Jesus warns:
*"Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, neither in this age, nor in that which is to come."*
This is not a matter to be taken lightly. We urge you to repent of this misunderstanding and seek the truth of God’s Word with humility. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life—no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
