We hear the weariness in your words, the longing for peace, and the frustration of feeling trapped in a place that doesn’t allow you to thrive. It’s clear you’ve made significant strides in sobriety, over a year is no small feat, and we rejoice with you in that victory. The discipline to walk away from nicotine and other habits shows strength, and we believe God is honoring your efforts to steward your body and mind well. The World English Bible reminds us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

However, we must gently but firmly address the focus on "green" in your request. While we understand this may refer to something legal in some places, we cannot endorse or ignore the reality that marijuana use, even where permitted, can dull the mind, hinder spiritual growth, and impair judgment. Scripture warns us in Ephesians 5:18, "Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." The pursuit of altered states, even for relaxation, can become a stumbling block to the clarity and peace God offers. True rest is found in Him, not in substances. We urge you to consider whether this desire is truly leading you toward the freedom Christ died to give you.

Your longing for a fresh start, somewhere by the beach, where you can create, breathe, and live without harassment, is not lost on us. God sees your heart, and He promises in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'"" The path to that future may not look exactly as you imagine, but we believe God is opening doors for you to step into a life of purpose. Saving money, paying off debts, and preparing for a move are wise steps, and we encourage you to continue in that discipline.

Yet, we must also speak to the deeper ache in your words, the loneliness, the boredom, and the desire for companionship. While it’s natural to want someone to share life with, we caution against seeking a "cool" person to "hang out" with as the solution. God’s design for relationships is intentional: friendship rooted in Christ, courtship leading to marriage (if that’s His will for you), and fellowship that sharpens rather than distracts. Proverbs 13:20 warns, "Walk with wise men, and you will become wise; but the companion of fools will suffer harm." Pray for godly connections, not just convenient ones.

Most importantly, we notice your request did not mention Jesus by name, though you ended with "the blood of Jesus." Salvation is not found in His blood alone, it is found in Him, the risen Savior who conquered sin and death. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Him, even the best-laid plans for happiness will fall short.

Let us pray for you now:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, lifting up his weariness, his longing for peace, and his desire for a fresh start. Lord, You see the discipline he has shown in sobriety, and we thank You for the strength You’ve given him. We ask that You would fill the void in his heart with Your presence, not with temporary escapes. Reveal to him the freedom that comes from walking in Your Spirit, not in the numbing of substances or the fleeting highs of this world.

Father, we pray for wisdom as he plans for the future. Open doors for him to move to a place where he can thrive, not just survive. Provide the resources he needs, a reliable vehicle, financial breakthrough, and godly connections. But more than that, draw him into deeper relationship with You. Let him know the joy of Your salvation, the peace that surpasses understanding, and the purpose You have for his life.

We rebuke the spirit of loneliness and boredom in Jesus’ name. Surround him with believers who will encourage him in faith and hold him accountable. And if it is Your will, prepare a godly spouse for him, someone who shares his love for You and will walk alongside him in covenant marriage.

Above all, Lord, we pray that he would know You, not just Your blood, but Your Son, Jesus Christ, as his personal Savior and Lord. May he experience the fullness of life that only comes from You. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen."

Friend, we encourage you to seek God’s will above all else. The beach may be beautiful, but true peace is found in Christ. The creativity you long to express can be a worship unto Him. The companionship you desire can be found in a church family that loves and supports you. And the freedom you crave is already yours if you surrender to Jesus. Consider reaching out to a local Christian community or a biblical counselor who can walk with you as you navigate this season. You are not alone, God is with you, and so are we.

We hear the determination in your words, more than a year sober, nicotine quit, saving and paying off debt, all while feeling stuck in a place that doesn’t feel like home. That takes real grit, and we don’t want to gloss over the weight of doing all the right things and still feeling like you’re waiting for permission to breathe. The desire to paint, color, create, and live near the water isn’t frivolous; it’s a deep need for a life that fits the person God made you to be.

A practical step while you work toward that move: consider exploring a local church or a community art group where people share your commitment to a clean, healthy lifestyle. Finding even one person who gets the boredom and the frustration of rebuilding a life piece by piece can make the waiting feel less lonely. Many churches have creative ministries, maybe a place to paint a mural, join a worship arts team, or simply meet others who would welcome a sober, creative friend. That kind of connection can be a lifeline right where you are.

We’re praying right now for uncommon favor indeed: for a clear, safe path to the beach you’re dreaming of, for the right truck and trailer to show up at the right time, and for good companions who understand the road you’ve walked. But more than that, we’re asking for a deep, settled peace that doesn’t depend on location or permission slips. Jesus, you see this one’s heart, the longing for freedom, creativity, and rest. In your mercy, open doors no one can shut, provide every need, and surround them with people who love what is good and pure. Guard their sobriety and their hope. Give them glimpses of the future you are preparing, even in the middle of the waiting. In your name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Though the world has blocked your way and you feel the old pleasures are cut off, I rejoice with you that you have been kept sober for more than a year. That is no small mercy, but a token that the Lord’s hand has been upon you for good. Yet I hear a weariness in your words, a longing not merely for a change of place, but for the rest and restoration of your soul. Do not mistake the thirst. It is not the smoking herb, nor the painted canvas, nor the sea breeze in themselves that can quench it. They are but dry ashes. The living water is Christ alone.

You speak of waiting until you can enjoy your day and night, to be creative and at ease. I urge you to hear the voice that called Zaccheus from the sycamore tree, and that still cries, “Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden.” He does not call the righteous, but the weary and the bored and the burdened. If you have a desire to break free from the ashes of this world, it is because He is calling you. Come down from the tree of your own planning; make haste, for He means to abide in your heart today. That is the true green pasture, the quiet place by still waters that no earthly coastline can rival. Will you not seek that first?

The desire for a fresh start is not wrong in itself, but let it be a heavenly one. You speak of a truck and a trailer and a home by the beach. I say to you, be anointed with fresh oil. David did not say, “I hope so,” but “I shall be anointed with fresh oil.” Expect it! The Lord who strengthened your resolve to quit nicotine and the other things can also renew your spirit until you find your joy in Him, even while you are still hemmed in. Do not think you must move to a new place to be yourself again. The self that Christ makes new is a self that can sing in a prison and paint in the dark.

As for companionship, I understand the loneliness of a clear mind surrounded by intoxication and folly. Yet let me remind you: the Lord calls His own sheep by name. If you are His, He knows you intimately and can lead you to those who will be a strength and not a snare. Pray for a companion who shares your high calling, not one who merely shares your boredom, but one who shares your partaking of the heavenly calling. And be that companion yourself, a savor of Christ to others.

You cry for “uncommon favor,” and you plead the blood of Jesus. That plea can never be in vain. The favor you have already is this: that the Spirit has not let you return to your former husks. He has thrust out some enemies before you. Will He not also, in His own time, say “Destroy them”? The Divine work goes on before you, making a way. Your part is to follow, not to fret. Save your pennies, but be content to wait upon the Lord. His providence will open the right door at the right moment, and it may be better than your dreams.

Settle it in your heart that the truest liberty is not found in any earthly locale, but in the immediate Presence of God. Get into His arms and you will find strength to lay the final blow upon every monster of disappointment and bitter memory. You long to be comfortable; I long for you to be holy. Let that be your first prayer, and all these things, the beach, the truck, the creative hours, shall be added or exchanged for something better by Him who accepted you in the Beloved. The sweet savor of Christ’s merits is yours. Rise up and follow Him. You shall be anointed with fresh oil.

You speak of being blocked from what you call "green," and you say you will not fight to get your "normal" back. But what is this normal you long for? To cloud your mind, to drown your days in a haze of intoxication? That is not normal life but a living death. You have been sober for over a year, do not despise this victory. The Apostle says, "make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof." To seek out this thing you miss is to make provision for lust, not for health. If your body is weary, there are wholesome ways to rest; to seek the very thing that enslaves the will and dulls the soul is to kindle a fire that can consume you. You have quit nicotine, and for this I rejoice with you. Now go further and quit even the desire for what God forbids.

You dream of a place by the beach, a truck and trailer, someone to pass the time. But remember: this present life is a sleep, and the things in it are no different from dreams. The man who grows rich in a dream wakes to find his hands empty. So all the comfort you seek apart from God will vanish. Take proper care of your body for its health, but spend your true labor on your soul. The blood of Jesus was shed to cleanse you from sin, not to bless your return to the very chains He broke. Let that precious blood wash away even the desire for what is forbidden, and seek your refreshment in prayer, in Scripture, in the fellowship of the saints. If you are bored, do not fill your time with empty pursuits or companions who share your emptiness, but seek the living water that truly satisfies.

You’ve held onto sobriety for over a year now. Quitting nicotine and walking away from what you used to lean on is no small thing. The frustration you feel is real, when every door seems bolted shut and the one thing that once brought relief is off the table, the days feel flat and the nights drag on. It’s easy to look at that and say, “I’m not fighting for normal anymore. I’ll just wait until I can live where no one harasses me for wanting to relax.” I hear you. That kind of boredom and weariness can press down hard.

But consider this: the Lord leaves room for Himself to work in ways we don’t expect. In the law, He made provision to heal a leper, a condition no human could cure. He didn’t shut the door on a miracle; He set a process in place so that if He chose to act, there was room for cleansing. Your deep longing for happiness and creative freedom isn’t lost on Him. Yet the provision He offers isn’t found by moving to a beach where legal access will make indulgence safe. The real issue isn’t geography; it’s where your hope rests. Jesus is God’s only provision for what’s broken inside us, not just for sin and guilt, but for the emptiness that makes a substance feel like home. He doesn’t simply forgive; He restores the soul.

Making a plan to wait until you can “order green like a normal human being” is still making provision for the flesh. The passage that urges us to put on the Lord Jesus Christ also commands us to make no provision to fulfill its lusts. That doesn’t mean gritting your teeth and white-knuckling boredom forever. It means letting Him redefine what joy and creativity look like for you. You’re not made for a life that only feels alive when a substance unlocks it. That’s an imitation of the inner freedom Christ died to give you. Walking after the Spirit looks like seeking Him when you want to paint, asking Him to breathe color into the canvas of your heart without the aid of something that dulls your edge.

The ache you feel, the sense of being blocked and harassed, the why-go-I-mourning heaviness, that’s a place to cry out for God’s light and truth to lead you. Don’t let the oppression of your circumstances make you think He’s holding out on you. He doesn’t hide His face from an honest plea. Ask Him to lead you, not to a shoreline where the law says you can indulge, but to a hill where His presence becomes your truest resting place. He can put a new desire in your chest. He can give you friends who understand the long barren stretch of quitting everything and who push you toward Jesus rather than back toward old chains.

The blood of Jesus you mentioned isn’t just an invocation for uncommon favor to find a cheap truck and trailer. It is the provision that cleanses your conscience from dead works to serve the living God. That favor is real, but it may look different than you imagine. It might mean His arranging a move for your good, but stripping away every crutch so you learn to stand upright in Christ alone. Let Him do that deep work now, in the waiting. Your worth, your creativity, your comfort, none of it hangs on where you lay your head or what you can legally order. It hangs on the righteousness imputed to you by faith, the life of the Son of God poured into yours.

Don’t aim your future around making space for the flesh. Aim it toward walking in the purity and freedom for which Christ laid hold of you. He may come at any hour. Be found in Him, not plotting a softer path to a losing battle. Let Him surprise you by filling the boredom with His presence, by leading you to people who stir you to love and good works, by being your light when the days feel gray. He doesn’t need your permission to work a miracle, He’s already made full provision.

We want to thank you for trusting us to stand with you in prayer during this season of waiting and transition. It has been on our hearts to lift you up daily, asking the Lord to strengthen your resolve and fill your days with peace as you continue in sobriety. We’ve prayed specifically for your financial needs—that the little amount owed on your credit card would be met with unexpected provision, and that the path to securing your passport would be smooth and swift.

We’ve also asked God to open doors for you to find a free or affordable truck and trailer, believing that He can make a way where there seems to be no way. Most of all, we’ve prayed for joy to return to your creative spirit—whether through painting, coloring, or simply the freedom to relax without harassment. We’ve asked the Lord to surround you with like-minded friends, people who understand your journey and can walk alongside you in this season.

If any of these prayers have been answered—if you’ve seen even a small breakthrough—we’d love to hear about it and join you in giving thanks. If not, we’re still here, ready to stand with you again and believe with you for God’s perfect timing. He sees your faithfulness, and we trust He will honor your patience and perseverance.

May the Lord bless you with uncommon favor, restore what has been lost, and lead you to that place by the beach where you can thrive in His peace. We continue to pray all these things in Jesus’ name.
