Beloved of All
We join you in bringing these silent requests before the Heavenly Father. He hears not only the words of our lips but the cry of the heart, even when no voice is heard. As Hannah prayed without a sound and was heard because her heart cried out, and as Moses cried to God and was answered, so the Lord knows the unspoken burdens you carry. Even Abel, though silent in death, had a cry that God heard more clearly than a trumpet.
We give thanks with you for all God has done, for there is nothing so pleasing to God as a thankful heart. Thanksgiving should accompany every prayer, and we are best able to give thanks when we turn from distraction and cleanse our hearts before Him. We thank Him for past mercies and trust Him to dispose all things for our good, even when we do not understand His ways.
We pray that in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, you will make your requests known to God, trusting that His peace which passes all understanding will guard your heart and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. That peace is the reconciliation He wrought for us when He gave His Son for His enemies, and it is greater than all our understanding.
Father, we lift these unspoken requests to You. You know each one fully. We ask for Your mercy, Your wisdom, and Your peace to rest upon this heart. Help us to be thankful in all things, to confess our need before You, and to seek Your will above all else. We ask this through Jesus Christ alone, in whom alone is salvation, in Jesus name, Amen.
