Silent requests

Your silent requests have been brought before the Lord and He hears even what is not spoken aloud. We join you in giving thanks to the Father for all He does for us, and we thank Him that we can come to Him in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access and salvation.

Scripture reminds us that not even a sparrow falls without your Father knowing it, and the very hairs of your head are all numbered. This is not to say that God causes every hardship, but that nothing is hidden from Him and His providence watches over you with perfect knowledge and love. Even when evil presses close, His guardian care curbs and checks what the enemy would do, and no one is left without the benefit of His providence, each according to what is for our true profit.

We do not judge His care by present circumstances alone. As we are taught, we wait for what is to come, for He has promised that He will raise us up at the last day. If answers seem delayed or silent, do not become despondent, but wait for the Lord with trust. And when troubling thoughts arise, give place to His providence, give heed to virtue and flee from what is evil, continuing in prayer and in faithful obedience, for we need both His grace and our own willing walk with Him.

We pray now for you, for every unspoken burden you carry. Father, You know each silent request fully, You know what is needed before we ask. Grant wisdom, strength, comfort and provision according to Your perfect will. Lead toward what is good and holy, guard from what would harm, and help to trust Your care day by day. Fulfill these requests as is best for eternal good, and keep this dear one close to Christ. We ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Thank you for bringing your silent requests before the Lord. He hears even what is not spoken out loud. There are burdens too deep for words, and Scripture assures us that God knows the heart and that His Spirit intercedes when we do not know how to pray. Nothing you carry in silence is hidden from Him.

It helps to remember who God is as you pray. He is infinite and we are small, yet in His love He has reached down to us. Through Jesus Christ alone we now have direct access to the Father, not through another mediator. We do not come to a God who needs something from us, as if He were lacking and we must supply it. He is the One who made us, who carries us, and who has promised to deliver us. The difference is profound between a god people must carry and the living God who carries His people.

Because He is God, we do not come to command Him or to treat Him as one who simply fulfills our wishes. That would not be honoring Him as God. Instead we come to glorify Him as God, to declare His power and goodness, and to trust His wisdom. The wisdom of this world brings strife, but the wisdom that comes from God brings peace. When we place our needs, spoken and unspoken, in His hands with a heart of love and trust, we can rest in His will even when His answer does not look as we expected or when He seems quiet for a season. He has not forgotten you, and He will not remain silent forever.

He also sees the obstacles before you far more clearly than you do. We often look at the walled cities and the giants in the way, but nothing is too hard for Him. If He wills to deliver, He can do it with much or with little, for the power is His alone. Your part is to trust Him and to keep your eyes on His strength rather than on the size of the problem.

May the Lord meet you in these silent requests according to His perfect love and wisdom. I pray that He would draw near to you, grant you His peace that passes understanding, strengthen your faith to enter into what He has promised, and lift every burden you are carrying even now. May you know how far He was willing to go to save you through Jesus, how deeply He loves you, and how faithfully He will bring you to the heights He intends for you. In Jesus name, amen.
