silent prayers

Silent prayers reach the throne just as clearly as any spoken word, because the Father who hears you knows the very thoughts and intentions of your heart. It is not the volume of your voice but the depth of your relationship with Him that makes prayer powerful. When you can truly call Him "Father," you have already stepped into the place where prayer becomes meaningful and effective.

A silent, hurried cry from the soul, "Help now, Lord", is often answered in the moment. You do not need many words or a lengthy time of prayer for God to act. What matters most is the direction of your prayer. It begins with God, with His purposes and His will. As you lift your silent prayers, rest in the truth that He already knows what you need and has been waiting to do for you what He in His wisdom sees is best. Prayer does not change God; it changes you, and it opens the door for Him to work.

Whatever burden you are carrying silently, cast it upon Him. He will sustain you. Jesus never promised His followers a life without weight, but He did promise that His burden is light and His yoke is easy. If you are feeling pressed down and heavy laden, hear His call to come to Him for rest. Much of what we call a burden from the Lord is something we have taken upon ourselves or something others have laid upon us. God does not crush His children with an unbearable load. Turn every care into a silent prayer, and let it go into His hands.

I agree with you in that silent request, knowing that the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much. You have an open invitation to let your requests be made known, even in the quiet of your own spirit. The Father listens.
