Silent prayer

We join with you in this silent prayer before the Father in Jesus' name and we thank you for trusting us to stand in agreement with you even though the request is unspoken.

We take comfort that our God hears not only our spoken words but the silent cries of our hearts. Psalm 139:4 reminds us, For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether. And Matthew 6:8 tells us, your Father knows what things you need before you ask him. Even when we do not have the words, Romans 8:26 assures us that In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered.

We lift up your unspoken burden to the Lord now. Father in heaven, we come before your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. You know the depth of this silent prayer, the need that has not been spoken aloud, the hurt or hope or longing that is carried in this heart. We ask that you would answer according to your perfect will and for your glory. We pray that you would grant peace, wisdom, provision, and healing as only you can. Let your will be done in this situation and let your presence be felt in a powerful way. We ask that you would guard this heart and mind with your peace which surpasses all understanding as promised in Philippians 4:6-7. We cast this care upon you because you care for us as 1 Peter 5:7 teaches.

We encourage you to continue to bring every thought and need to Him, both spoken and silent, with thanksgiving and trust. 1 John 5:14 gives us confidence that This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. He is listening now and He is faithful. We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is through His name alone that we have access to the Father and assurance of salvation, as Acts 4:12 declares there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

We stand with you, believing God will work in this silent request for your good and His glory, and we pray you will feel His peace and leading in the days ahead. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We saw your quiet amen and we are grateful you shared it here. There are seasons when words are few or hard to find, and coming simply as you are is enough. We believe God hears even the prayers we hold silently in our hearts, and we are honored to stand with you in that quiet place.

We want you to know you are not praying alone. We are carrying your silent request to the Lord with you, trusting His care and nearness even when we do not have details to name. If it helps, you might set aside a brief quiet moment in your day just to rest in His presence, without pressure to find the right words, simply being known by Him.

We will keep remembering you here, and you are welcome to return whenever you want to share more or simply leave another quiet amen. Thank you for trusting us to pray with you. The Lord welcomes you as you are.

Father, we lift our friend to You now. You know what is spoken and what is unspoken. Draw near with Your peace and love, give wisdom and strength for each step ahead, and remind this heart that You are listening and You care. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Your silent petition in the name of Jesus has been presented before the Lord, and He who hears in secret regards it.

Such prayer was like that of Nehemiah, when he prayed to the God of heaven. It was presented like the blinking of an eye, done intuitively yet truly done, and it proved to be a prayer that prevailed with God. It was strictly within himself, offered to God in the innermost shrine, in the Holy of Holies of his own secret soul. It was short and silent, a prayer on the spot. He did not need to go to his chamber and open the window, for the King of kings was there to hear the quiet breathing of his heart.

Be encouraged that this is the very spirit of prayer which is the mother of these brief, silent prayers. Many times in a day we may speak with the Lord our God, and such prayer may be suggested by all sorts of surroundings. The text does not even say that they pray with words, because sometimes even prayer becomes a mechanical act, but the Lord says, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. When you have got a hearing from God, you have got everything. God must always give the Spirit of Grace before men will pray aright, and wherever grace is given there is always true prayer.

I would ask you always to use this method of brief, silent prayer, and to make your calling upon God in this way a truthful recognition of Him. To handle a matter wisely is to find good, and the true way to handle a matter wisely is to trust in God. They that know Your name will put their trust in You, for we cannot trust an unknown God. Know Him and you must trust Him. He is not a dead force or a distant influence, but the living God who made heaven and earth and who supports all things by the power of His almighty arms, a God with a great warm loving heart, a thinking, active, working, personal God who comes into the midst of this world.

If you have never prayed before except in this silent way, let this be the beginning of a life of prayer, and let your petition be like that of the publican in the temple, God be merciful to me, a sinner. For God has spoken in His holiness to poor lost sinners and said that He will save all of them who trust in Jesus Christ His Son. There is no other name by which we must be saved, and without in the least marring His perfect purity and inflexible justice, He saves all who rest alone upon Christ. Do not trust your feelings or your inward griefs, but trust the appointed Saviour who is very God of very God and perfect Man, who has lived a perfect life and never lied. May the Lord shine in your heart to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, and may you find that to trust in the living God in all your temporal and spiritual matters is to find good and to bring honor to Him both in the act of prayer and in His answer.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your silent prayer has been heard and I join you in bringing it before God in the name of Jesus. The Lord does not need loud words to hear us. Hannah was heard when her voice was not heard because her heart cried out, and Moses was heard when he cried inwardly to God, and even the blood of Abel sent forth a cry that God heard. He hears the silent cry of the heart.

Be encouraged that God desires to hear and to save, for He wills not the death of the sinner but that he should turn and live. Prayer is a great weapon and an unshaken tower, and when we have made God favorable to us by prayer in the morning and at night we can go through the day with security.

I am praying with you for this unspoken need, asking the Father to answer according to His wisdom and mercy and grace, and to work in you both to will and to do what pleases Him. We need both His grace and our own faithfulness, and we also need the prayers of one another, for the prayer of the brethren can do great things.

May the Lord who hears in secret grant you peace, strengthen you, and answer this silent request in the way that is best for your soul. I will continue to remember you in prayer. In Jesus name, amen.
