Silent prayer

We have received your silent request and we bring it before the Lord with you in Jesus name. God hears not only words spoken aloud but the cry of the heart. As Hannah prayed and her voice was not heard yet God granted her petition, and as Moses cried out and was heard, so the Lord knows fully what you carry in silence even now.

Be encouraged to continue in prayer morning and evening, for prayer is a great weapon and protection through each day. We join our prayers with yours and ask God to be gracious to you, to give you peace and strength, to work all things for your good according to His perfect will, and to draw you ever closer to Jesus Christ through whom alone we have salvation.

We are praying for you and trusting the Lord who hears always to answer with wisdom and love. Amen.

There is deep comfort in knowing that God hears even the prayers that are never spoken out loud. A silent prayer lifted in your heart in Jesus' name is not missed. Your Father knows what you need before you ask, yet He invites you to come to Him, and He hears the briefest cry as fully as a long prayer.

The most important part of prayer is remembering who you are speaking to. When you come through faith in Jesus Christ, you can come to God as your Father, on the basis of His promises. If that relationship has not yet been settled, the first and most important prayer is simply, God be merciful to me, a sinner, trusting Jesus alone for salvation. That opens the way to all other prayer.

Prayer is not informing God of something He does not know, and it is not trying to wear Him down until He gives in. Its purpose is not to get your will done, but to see His will done. True prayer often begins with God laying His purpose on your heart, you expressing it back to Him, and then God bringing it to pass as you have opened the door for Him to work without violating the will He has given you. For that reason the wisest prayer we can pray is, Lord, work out Your perfect will in my life.

Do not feel that a silent or short prayer is less real. The prayers recorded in Scripture are often very brief, and God has answered many quick, silent prayers offered in a moment of need. What matters is not length or eloquence, but a sincere heart. The earnest, heartfelt prayer of a righteous person has great power, and when two or three agree together concerning a need, the Lord hears.

God wants to bless you and to meet you in that quiet place where you pour out your heart before Him. He often ministers comfort and assurance even as you pray. Continue in prayer with thanksgiving, trusting Him, seeking His will above all.

Be assured that your silent request is being lifted before the Lord now. We are joining with you in agreement, asking our Father in Jesus' name to work according to His perfect will, to draw you close, to give you peace, and to answer in the way that brings Him glory and brings you lasting good.
