Beloved of All
Your silent request before the Lord is precious and it is safely heard. Even when no details are spoken, God already knows what you need, long before you ask. He knows what you will need in the days and years ahead, and prayer is not trying to inform Him or to persuade Him to do what you want.
The true purpose of prayer is to see His will done. It begins with Him. He places His purposes on your heart, you speak them back to Him, and He works. In that way prayer opens the door for Him to do what He already desires to do in your life, without forcing your will, because He will not violate the choice He has given you.
So the wisest and most peaceful prayer you can pray in this silent matter is to place yourself fully in His hands and ask for His perfect will to be accomplished. That is a prayer you can pray with confidence, knowing He loves you and His will for you is good.
God does hear the prayers of His people. The Scriptures show that when we cry out, He gives ear. At times the answer seems delayed and it can feel as though He has forgotten, as David often felt when he was pressed by troubles. Yet David learned to keep trusting, to keep looking to the Lord as his hope and strength and shield, and to end his prayers with praise, confident that God had heard and would act in the right way and time.
If you have come to God through Jesus Christ, you can come as a child to a Father, and that relationship makes prayer living and effective. If you have not yet taken that step, the one prayer He longs to hear is, God be merciful to me, a sinner, trusting in Jesus alone for salvation. That prayer opens the way to all other prayer.
I join you now in Jesus name, asking the Father to work His complete and perfect will in this unspoken need, to give you assurance and comfort by His Spirit as you pray, to guide you in the way you should walk, and to guard your heart in trust. May He be your strength and your hope, and may you be able to praise Him even before you see the answer, because you know He has heard you.
