Sickness my sister his in pain

We hear your heart and the deep concern you have for your sister who is suffering in pain and poor health. Our hearts ache with yours as we lift her before the Lord, the Great Physician, who alone holds the power to heal and restore. We know that sickness can bring fear, uncertainty, and even despair, but we stand on the promise of God’s Word that declares, "Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven" (James 5:13-15). We believe in the power of prayer and the mercy of God to intervene in her situation.

We also want to gently remind you and encourage you to ensure that her faith, and yours, is anchored in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). If she has not yet placed her trust in Jesus as her Lord and Savior, now is the time to surrender her life to Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation through Jesus brings not only eternal life but also the peace and hope that transcends even the deepest pain.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister who is in pain and poor health. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would stretch out Your healing hand upon her and bring relief to her body. Touch her with Your mercy, Lord, and restore her to full health according to Your will. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed, and we stand on Your promise that the prayer of faith will make her well.

Father, we also pray for strength and comfort for her and her family during this difficult time. Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and fill their hearts with hope. If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in her life, we ask that You would reveal it to her and grant her the grace to repent and receive Your forgiveness. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and sickness in the mighty name of Jesus, and we command it to leave her body now.

Lord, we trust in Your goodness and Your perfect plan, even when we do not understand it. Give her the faith to believe in Your healing power and the patience to wait on Your timing. May she experience Your presence in a tangible way, and may her testimony bring glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord on her behalf, to gather with other believers to pray and anoint her with oil as Scripture instructs, and to trust in God’s sovereignty. Remember that even in the midst of suffering, God is working for her good (Romans 8:28). If her condition is severe, do not hesitate to seek medical attention while also trusting in God’s healing power. He can work through doctors and medicine just as He can work through miracles.

Stand firm in faith, knowing that God loves your sister even more than you do, and He is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and do not grow weary in praying for her. We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for her complete restoration.

We are so sorry your sister is in such pain, and we are holding her, and you, close in our hearts right now. Watching someone you love battle a hard physical condition can feel overwhelming, and it is easy to carry a heavy weight of worry as you try to support her from near or far. Your steady presence and prayers are a gift she can lean on.

When pain is relentless, it can wear down the spirit just as much as the body. Sometimes simply knowing she is not alone in it, that you and others are actively asking God for mercy on her behalf, can be its own kind of comfort. You might also gently encourage her, if the pain is persistent or severe, to let a doctor or other health professional assess what is going on. Seeking medical help is not a sign of weak faith; it is one of the wise ways God provides care for our bodies. We can pray boldly for her relief while also making use of the help professionals can offer.

Above all, we join you in bringing her before the Lord of all compassion.

Lord Jesus, you see your daughter right now, and you know exactly where the pain is gripping her body and her mind. We ask you to quiet that pain, to give her moments of genuine rest, and to restore what is broken. Please surround her with your peace and let her feel your nearness, even in the middle of this trial. Give wisdom to any doctors or caregivers who examine her, and guide them to the right help. Strengthen her family as they watch and wait. Hold all of you close. In your healing name we pray. Amen.

The sickness of your sister is a heavy burden, and her pain calls out for the Great Physician. There is no disease beyond His healing reach, not one in all the list of human ills that our Lord did not cure when He walked among us. And what He did then, He lives to do now, for He has taken our infirmities and borne our sicknesses. The healing leaves are still upon the Tree of Life, and the least touch of Christ is full of restoring virtue. Bring her case before the throne, even if your prayer staggers and lacks order from the weight of distress. It is the prayer of those at wit's end that often prevails, for it leans entirely upon mercy.

Yet remember this also: the Lord's healing work often walks hand-in-hand with His forgiving grace. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He first spoke pardon, then commanded the man to rise. What if this season of pain becomes the doorway to a deeper work, the healing of the soul which ends in everlasting health? Pray with Jacob's humility, pleading the promises and spreading the whole case before God, with every argument faith can muster. Expect mercy, for even the broken heart He binds up, and the sinner's trembling cry He will not despise. Let her look to Jesus now, only let her come, if it be with but a finger touching the hem of his garment. There is healing in Him for all who seek.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I hear your cry for your sister, and my spirit is troubled with yours. Sickness of the body is a heavy trial, and when we see one we love in pain, our hearts are wrung. But hold fast to this assurance: such affliction, when borne in faith, is not unto death as the world reckons death. The Lord often delays His healing, that patience may be perfected and that a greater comfort may spring forth. Remember the paralytic who waited thirty-eight years; he did not curse his day, nor did he answer with bitterness when the Lord asked if he would be made whole. His patient endurance became a treasury of hope for all who read of him. So I urge you and your sister to let this sickness be a time for the divine Scriptures to minister to your souls. For they are a medicine chest, supplying strength to despise pain and to fix your eyes on the glory to come.

Consider, too, that this affliction is working something in you both. The comfort that God gives you through this trial will become refreshment for others; and the very delay is not empty, but full of purpose if you use it for repentance and for drawing nearer to Christ. Let your sister’s conscience be pure and without guile, so that even in her pain she may know the peace that passes understanding. Yes, the body suffers, but the resurrection stands ready. All shall rise, but those who are in Christ shall rise in glory, where pain and sorrow and sighing are fled away, where there is no darkness, no sickness, no death of soul or body. That is the true healing, the everlasting rest. Therefore I do not cease to pray for her, that the Lord would raise her up if it be His will, and that He would grant both you and her the comfort that works patient endurance. But even now, lift your heads: your sister’s sickness is not unto spiritual death, but for the glory of God, and the same sufferings you witness can become your crown if you entrust her to the Physician of souls. I commend you to that hope.
