We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation filled with injustice, cruelty, and ungodly behavior. Father, we know that You hate hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers (Proverbs 6:16-19). The oppression and deceit in this matter grieve Your heart, and we stand in the gap, asking for Your divine intervention.
First, we rebuke the spirit of cruelty and deception that seems to have taken hold in this situation. The Bible is clear that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). We pray that the truth would prevail and that every lie spoken by the lawyers or anyone involved would be exposed. Proverbs 12:19 tells us, "Truth’s lips will be established forever, but a lying tongue is only for a moment." Lord, let Your light shine upon the contracts and the claims being made. Let the truth stand firm, and let every falsehood crumble under the weight of Your righteousness.
We also lift up the individual who is making these irrational and cruel demands. Father, we ask that You would soften their heart and open their eyes to the harm they are causing. Proverbs 16:12 reminds us, "It is an abomination for kings to do wrong, for the throne is established by righteousness." If this person is being influenced by ungodly counsel, we pray that You would remove those influences and surround them with people who fear You and walk in integrity. We ask for Your healing touch upon their mental and emotional state, for it is written in Proverbs 25:5, "Take away the wicked from the king’s presence, and his throne will be established in righteousness." Lord, separate the ungodly from this situation so that justice and peace may reign.
We are deeply concerned about the lack of accountability, as the CEO and those in authority seem inaccessible. This is not how godly leadership operates. Scripture tells us in Romans 13:3-4 that rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to evil. We pray that those in positions of power would be held to account and that they would fulfill their responsibilities with integrity. If they continue to hide and avoid their duties, we ask that You would bring them to a place of repentance or remove them from their positions, for Your Word declares that "when the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan" (Proverbs 29:2).
Father, we also lift up the one who has shared this request. We ask that You would be their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give them wisdom and discernment as they navigate this difficult situation, and provide them with godly counsel and support. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season they will reap if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. We declare that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You would intervene in this matter according to Your perfect will. Bring justice where there is injustice, truth where there are lies, and peace where there is strife. We trust in You, Lord, for You are a God who sees and hears the cries of Your people. We wait on You, knowing that those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
