We hear your request and lift you up before the Lord, our Great Physician. It is difficult to be unwell, especially when away from the comforts of home and in the midst of family time. We stand with you in faith, believing in God’s power to heal and restore.
The Word of God assures us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." And in James 5:14-15, we are instructed, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We claim these promises over you, trusting that God hears our prayers and will move on your behalf.
We also recognize that sickness can be an opportunity to draw nearer to the Lord, to rest in His presence, and to reflect on His goodness. In your weakness, His strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). We pray that this time of illness would not only bring physical healing but also spiritual renewal and a deeper dependence on Him.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We ask You to touch [###] with Your healing hand. Remove every trace of sickness, pain, or discomfort from their body. Strengthen them, Lord, and restore their health so they may fully enjoy this time with their family and glorify You in all they do. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name and declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Surround them with Your peace and comfort, and let Your presence be their strength.
We also pray for wisdom for those caring for them, whether it be family, medical professionals, or friends. Guide their hands and decisions, Lord, and grant them discernment in how best to support and encourage.
If there is any unconfessed sin or area of their life not surrendered to You, we ask that You reveal it to them, Lord, so they may repent and walk in the fullness of Your healing and blessing. Remind them that true healing, body, soul, and spirit, comes only through a relationship with You, Jesus Christ. If they have not yet placed their trust in You as Lord and Savior, we pray they would do so today, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
We trust You, Lord, to work all things together for good, even this season of sickness. May Your will be done in their life, and may Your name be glorified through it all. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
