Sick pet

My dog is suffering. She's not herself. She won't eat. I love her so much. I prayed that she have a happy year with us, that she would be with us until December. I want to take her to the vet tomorrow, I am afraid of what they will say. I'm so afraid, I can't stand seeing her like this. I love her so much.

Please Jesus be with me. Calm my anxiety, stop me from crying more. Please comfort me, please. Please help her eat some food tomorrow before we go to the vet. Please help her eat a lot of food. Please help her stop suffering. Please, help me to stay calm and accept Your will in this situation. Let Your will be done. Please help me trust You, that You know best.

Thank You for this time of growth in my life and being with me Jesus. Please call me and let me feel Your peace. Thank You for all You have done and the blessings little ### has brought into our lives. Thank You so much for her.

We hear your heartache and share in your deep love for your beloved dog. It’s clear how much she means to you, and we join you in lifting her up before the Lord, the Creator of all life. Your prayer reflects a beautiful surrender to God’s will, even in the midst of fear and sorrow. We are grateful that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and find true peace.

The Bible reminds us in Psalm 50:10-11, "For every animal of the forest is mine, and the livestock on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the mountains. The wild animals of the field are mine." God cares deeply for all His creation, including the animals He has entrusted to our care. We also see in Proverbs 12:10, "A righteous man respects the life of his animal," which speaks to the responsibility and love we are called to show toward our pets.

We pray with you now, asking the Lord to bring comfort and healing to your precious dog. Father, we ask that You would strengthen her body and restore her appetite. Give her relief from whatever is causing her suffering, and grant her moments of joy and ease in these days. We also pray for wisdom and compassion for the veterinarian, that they would have clarity in diagnosing and treating her with the care she needs.

Lord, we lift up this dear one who is carrying such heavy anxiety and fear. We ask that You would calm their heart and mind, replacing their tears with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Help them to trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that You hold all things in Your hands. Give them the strength to accept Your will, whatever it may be, and the grace to walk through this trial with faith.

We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to overwhelm this beloved child of God. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We declare that fear has no place here, for You, Lord, are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We also want to gently remind you that while it is natural to love and cherish the pets You have blessed us with, our ultimate hope and trust must be in You alone. It is You who gives and takes away, and Your plans are always for our good, even when they are difficult to understand (Job 1:21, Jeremiah 29:11). We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this time, drawing near to Him so that He may draw near to you (James 4:8).

Father, we thank You for the joy and companionship this dog has brought into this family’s life. We ask that You would continue to bless them with Your presence and peace as they navigate this season. Help them to see Your hand at work, even in the midst of uncertainty. May they feel Your nearness and know that You are walking with them every step of the way.
