To Mothers
A mother’s godly life shapes her children’s faith and future more than any other influence.
Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly and for asking for prayer. We are praying for you, for your mom and for your sister, and we are bringing your family before the Lord.

God knows the path you are walking right now. Scripture says He leads us in the right path for His name sake, and that even when that path goes through the valley of the shadow of death, we do not need to fear evil because He is with us. That promise is for you and for your mom and sister. He is not distant from this sickness and weariness. He is present with you in it. The Lord is our light and our salvation and the strength of our lives, so we do not have to be afraid. In times of trouble He hides us and keeps us close to Himself. When fear tries to settle over you as you think about losing your family or facing the future alone, remember that He is watching over you and He will not leave you.

The Bible encourages us to pour out our hearts like water before the face of the Lord, to lift up our hands to Him for the lives of those we love. That is what we are doing for your mom and sister, and that is what you can do as well, even in simple, honest prayers throughout the day. Tell Him exactly how tired your mom feels, how sick they both are, and how alone and uncertain you feel. He hears that kind of prayer.

We are praying that God will touch your mom and sister with healing according to His mercy and will, and that He will restore strength to your mom where she feels so tired and wants to give up. Our prayer is the one Paul prayed for believers, that God would strengthen you all with might by His Spirit in the inner person. Physical strength matters, and God can give it, but inner strength to keep going, to have hope and peace day by day, comes from His Spirit working inside us. We are asking Him to give that to your mom for herself and for her children, and to your sister as well.

We are also praying for you. It is understandable to feel alone and overwhelmed when you are young and still learning how to navigate life while carrying such a heavy burden for your family. God does not despise youth. He can guide a young person and give wisdom and direction. Scripture says if we acknowledge Him in all our ways, He will direct our paths. You do not have to figure out the future on your own. He will lead you step by step, and He will be your strength when you feel you have none. You are part of His family, the whole family in heaven and earth that is named in Him, and He sees you and cares for you as His own. Like a kinsman who steps in to help and to redeem when family cannot help themselves, the Lord draws near to families in need and does what only He can do.

Keep bringing your mom, your sister and yourself to Jesus. Ask Him to be your light when things feel dark, your salvation and your strength when you feel weak, and your shelter in this time of trouble. He is faithful to lead you through this path, and He will not abandon you in it. We will continue to pray that God gives healing, renewed strength to continue living, comfort for your hearts, and clear guidance for you as you walk forward.

May the Lord show you His nearness, give you peace that guards your heart, and let you know His love in a deeper way through this difficult season.
