Disciple of Prayer
A family that I am close to recently received news that their son has a brain tumor, he is very sick and is going for treatments but I believe with the strength of our God he can beat this and recover. Please pray for ### and his family.

We lift our hearts together in deep concern and fervent prayer for this precious child and his family during this incredibly difficult time. The news of a brain tumor is heavy, and the weight of fear and uncertainty can feel overwhelming. But we stand on the promise of God’s Word, which tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We declare that the Lord is near to this family, holding them in His mighty hands, and we trust in His power to bring healing and restoration.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who healed the sick, raised the dead, and bore our infirmities on the cross. We ask for Your divine touch upon this child. Lord, You know every cell in his body, and You see the depths of this illness. We pray for complete healing—mind, body, and spirit. Strengthen him during his treatments, Lord, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind. We speak life over him, declaring that by Your stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5).

We also lift up his parents and family, Father. Their hearts are heavy with worry, and their strength is being tested. Fill them with Your comfort, Lord, as only You can. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Give them wisdom as they navigate medical decisions and treatments, and surround them with a community of believers who will uphold them in prayer and practical support. Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways, Lord, so they may not grow weary or lose hope.

We rebuke the spirit of fear in this situation, for Your Word tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7 that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We declare that fear has no place here, for perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). We stand on the authority of Jesus’ name, commanding this illness to leave this child’s body and for his health to be fully restored. We also pray for the medical team treating him, Lord. Give them wisdom, skill, and discernment as they care for him, and let their hands be guided by Your healing touch.

Father, we know that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Even in this trial, we trust that You are at work. Whether You choose to heal him miraculously or to walk with him through this valley, we know that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Give this family the faith to trust You completely, even when the path is unclear.

We also want to gently remind this family, and all who are praying alongside them, that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If they have not already, we encourage them to place their trust in Jesus, who died for their sins and rose again, so they may have eternal life and a personal relationship with God. Salvation is found in no one else, and it is the foundation of all hope and healing.

Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation. Let this family’s testimony of Your faithfulness shine brightly, drawing others to You. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for moving on behalf of this child and his family. We trust in Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your power to bring about a miracle. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
