We hear your distress and we join with you in bringing this urgent need before the Lord, for He cares about every detail of our lives, even when we face sudden troubles like a power outage and no air conditioning.
We are reminded that God is present with us in every trouble, big or small. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 We also take comfort that we can bring everything to Him in prayer. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We thank you for calling on the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and it is in His name our help comes. My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:2
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this need to You. Lord, You see the short circuit and the loss of power and air conditioning, and You know the discomfort and concern this brings. We ask for Your protection over this home, that there would be no further damage or danger from the electrical issue and that everyone there would be kept safe. We pray for wisdom and for provision, that a trustworthy and skilled person would be available quickly to restore the power safely and affordably. Grant peace in the waiting and keep all cool and comfortable until the power is restored. Help us to trust You to supply what is needed, for we know My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

Your cry for help in this moment of trouble has been heard and brought before the Lord. Even in what may seem a small affliction, the heat and the loss of power, our God is not unmindful of His people, for He has promised that if they trust Him they shall lack no good thing.
We are reminded that the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but God shall not change and His purpose shall not cease to stand. He is worthy of our confidence in the furnace of affliction as well as in the hour of abundance. We have been in strange places and in very peculiar conditions, but we never were thrown where we could not find in God all we needed.
Let your heart find peace in believing, not in the return of power alone, but in Him who is the God of hope. There is a peace which arises from faith, a filling peace which meets every need of the heart. When we rest upon His Word, which cannot fail, we find that all things work together for good to them that love God.
Let us pray together.
O gracious Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, we bring this need before Your throne of grace. You see this short circuit and the loss of power and the discomfort that follows. We ask You in Your mercy to provide help, to grant safety from harm, to restore what has been disrupted, and to give wisdom to those who must make repairs. Keep this household in Your care through the heat and give provision for every need.
Grant also a quiet heart, that even now there may be joy in God, though the house be warm and comfort be lacking. Let Your peace, which passes all understanding, rest upon this soul, and teach a deeper trust in You for the future. May this trial be a reminder to love Him who thus gives Himself to be trusted by us.
