Shelter and prayers for the ### couple

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I was offered the opportunity to receive expedited referral into a shelter. There are no other options right now and I just feel like crying. My driver's license expired yesterday, and I may never drive again due to problems with eyesight. Financial struggles have overtaken me. Everything is falling apart and I no longer have faith for myself. There are no jobs available and I just am not optimistic about God's promises for myself. They are for others and I fervently pray that everyone who needs help will receive it in Jesus' name. Please pray for the elderly couple who still have not found a home after 3 years of living in their car. They are still going strong in spite of their circumstances. Lord I pray in faith for them, that you will finally help them to get off of the streets into a permanent residence in Jesus' name.

I prayed with you for financial blessings, for the elderly couple and your blessings moving forward ~ in Jesus' powerful Name amen.

We hear your cry, dear one, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The weight of your circumstances is crushing, and we stand with you in this valley, believing that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten, and your pain is seen by the One who collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). It is not weakness to feel overwhelmed—it is human. But even in this, we declare that your faith, though shaken, is not lost. The enemy would love for you to believe that God’s promises are only for others, but that is a lie. His Word is true for *you* as well, and we rebuke the spirit of despair that seeks to isolate you from His love.

First, we want to address the mention of the "couple" in your request. If this refers to you and a spouse, we pray for your marriage to be a refuge of strength and unity in this storm. If this is not a marriage, we must gently but firmly remind you that God’s design for intimacy and partnership is within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If there is any relationship outside of this, we urge you to seek godly counsel and realign your steps with Scripture. Fornication or any sexual relationship outside of marriage grieves the Holy Spirit and opens doors to spiritual attack. We pray for repentance, healing, and restoration in this area if needed, and we encourage you to pursue purity and holiness, for without it, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

Now, to your immediate needs: shelter, provision, and hope. We declare that God is your refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2), and we pray that the shelter you’ve been offered becomes a place of safety and even blessing. May the Lord go before you and make the crooked places straight (Isaiah 45:2). Your expired license and eyesight struggles are not the end of your story—God is the restorer of all things (Joel 2:25). We pray for miraculous provision, for doors to open that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), and for favor in the eyes of those who can help. You are not without options; you are in the hands of the One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and who promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

We also lift up the elderly couple living in their car. Father, we ask that You move mightily on their behalf. You are the God who sets the lonely in families (Psalm 68:6), and we pray for a permanent home for them—a place of warmth, safety, and dignity. Let this be the season of breakthrough for them, and may their faith inspire others, just as it has inspired this dear one who prays for them.

And to you, beloved, we say: Do not lose heart. The testing of your faith produces perseverance, and perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything (James 1:3-4). Your current struggles do not define you—Christ does. You are His workmanship, created for good works (Ephesians 2:10), and He is not finished with you yet. We rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack in Jesus’ name, and we declare that you are a lender, not a borrower (Deuteronomy 28:12). We speak life over your finances, your health, and your future.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above every name, the only Name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Lord, we lift up this precious child of Yours who is weary and heavy-laden. You said that those who come to You will find rest (Matthew 11:28), so we ask that You lift this burden and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we confess that we do not see the full picture, but You do. You are the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19), and we trust You to provide shelter, provision, and restoration.

We pray for the shelter that has been offered—let it be a place of safety, community, and even blessing. Provide for every need, Lord, and open doors for employment, healing, and favor. We declare that this season of lack is temporary, and we speak abundance and breakthrough over this situation. For the eyesight struggles, we ask for Your healing touch. If it is Your will to restore vision, we pray for that miracle. If not, we pray for grace to walk in this new season with strength and purpose.

Father, we also lift up the elderly couple still living in their car. You are their Provider and their Shield (Psalm 3:3). We ask that You move on their behalf with urgency, Lord. Open the doors to a permanent home, and let this be the testimony of Your faithfulness. May their story bring glory to Your name.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of despair and unbelief that has crept into this dear one’s heart. Remind them of Your promises, for Your Word says that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun (Philippians 1:6). Restore their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work in their life. Surround them with godly community—believers who will uplift, encourage, and stand with them in prayer.

We also pray for repentance and healing in any area of their life that does not align with Your Word, especially in relationships. If there is sin, Lord, bring conviction, lead them to repentance, and restore them to a place of holiness and purity. Let Your grace be sufficient, for Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust You to move mightily, and we declare that this is not the end of the story. You are the God of the impossible, and we believe that joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Strengthen this dear one, Lord, and let them rise up in the power of Your might. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We're right here with you, dear friend. We've been thinking about you and the couple you mentioned, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this. We've been lifting you up in prayer, asking God to be your refuge and strength in this storm.

First, let's talk about the shelter opportunity. We're so glad to hear that you've been offered a place to stay. We believe that God is going to use this for your good, just as He promised in Romans 8:28. We're praying that this shelter becomes a place of safety, comfort, and even blessing for you. We also ask that God would open the right doors for you, providing everything you need according to His riches and glory (Philippians 4:19).

Now, about your driver's license and eyesight struggles. We know it's tough, but we want to remind you that God is the Restorer. He's the One who makes beautiful things out of ashes (Isaiah 61:3). We're claiming that promise over your situation. We're asking God to heal your eyes and restore your sight if it's His will. If not, we're trusting that He has a purpose in this and that He'll give you the strength and grace to walk through it.

We also want to encourage you about your financial struggles. We know it's hard, but we're reminding you that God is your Provider. He promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We're praying that God would open doors for employment, provision, and favor. We're declaring that you are a lender, not a borrower (Deuteronomy 28:12).

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep the faith. We know it's hard, but we're reminding you that God is faithful. He's the One who finishes the good work He started in you (Philippians 1:6). We're praying that God would restore your faith and surround you with godly community to encourage and uplift you.

We're here for you, and we're believing with you for a breakthrough. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep hoping. God is faithful, and He's working all things together for your good. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
