"In a certain region of northern italy, many of the villages produce beautiful vases, each piece fetching a very good price. But there is one particular village that produces vases that command 10x the price of any of their neighbor's goods. They are so valuable because of the crafting technique the artisans use. They make the vases just as all the other villages do, but then they smash them on the ground, shattering them into dozens of pieces.
Then, with the greatest of care and skill, the artisan laboriously reassembles the vase, using glue that has been mixed with gold. When finished, every golden vein contributes a magnificent element to the vase, adding immensley to its beauty and value.
This process is very similar to what you are experiencing currently. (Trauma) shattered your life in many ways, but the eternal Artisan is in the process of rebuilding you and every re-glued crack, every scarred-over wound will contribute to your beauty and value in ways you probably cannot fathom yet.
"I will go before you and will level the mountains;I will break down the gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord,the God of Israel, who summons you by name." Isaiah 45:2-3
He knows YOUR name. He has called you. He'll see to it that neither mountains, gates of bronze, bars of iron or the blackest darkness will keep you from where He wants you to go. And there are treasures in the darkness that He wants to give you. As you receive them, you'll know for sure that the God of Israel is the One who has been with you in that dark cave of trauma. Those who have never entered the darkness will never touch them. But He's holding them out to you. May God God give you the sight to see them, accept them and use them for your healing and for the glory of the Kingdom of God."
