We are honored to continue to stand with you in prayer and we count it a blessing to intercede for you before the throne of grace through the Lord Jesus Christ.
We join together to pray the very scriptures you have asked for over your life. In Colossians 1:9-15 it is written, For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, don't cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light, who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love, in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins, who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. We ask the Father to fill you in this way, that you would walk worthy of Him and be strengthened to endure with joy.
We also speak the Aaronic blessing over you from Numbers 6:24-26, Yahweh bless you, and keep you. Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. Yahweh lift up his face toward you, and give you peace. We ask the Lord to keep you, to be gracious to you, and to cause His peace which surpasses all understanding to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We hear your desire for a spirit of obedience and a repentant heart through the indwelling Holy Spirit and we affirm this is the work of God in His children. The Scriptures teach in Acts 5:32 that God has given the Holy Spirit to those who obey him, and in Ezekiel 36:27, I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes. A true repentant heart is precious to God, for Psalm 51:17 says, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. And when we confess our sins, we have the promise in 1 John 1:9 that If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to lead you into obedience and keep your heart tender and quick to repent.
We also agree with you for the putting on of the whole armor of God as taught in Ephesians 6:10-13, Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. We pray you will daily put on truth, righteousness, the preparation of the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God, so that you may stand firm.
And we join you in pleading the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ over your mind, soul, and spirit, for it is by His blood we have redemption and protection. Ephesians 1:7 reminds us, In him we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, and 1 John 1:7 says the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we thank You for this dear one who seeks Your face. We ask that You fill him with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that You would bless him and keep him, make Your face to shine upon him and give him Your peace. Holy Spirit, work deeply within him to produce a spirit of obedience and sustain in him a broken and repentant heart that loves Your statutes. Clothe him daily with Your whole armor, that he may stand against every scheme of the enemy and remain steadfast in the evil day. We apply the precious shed blood of Jesus over his mind, his soul, and his spirit, cleansing, covering, and keeping him from the power of darkness, for You have already translated him into the Kingdom of the Son of Your love. Strengthen him with all power according to Your glorious might for all endurance and perseverance with joy. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in him. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to abide in the Word, to pray in the Holy Spirit as taught in Jude 1:20, and to walk in daily obedience, knowing that God is faithful to keep you. We will continue to keep you in our prayers.
