We join you together in prayer before the Father in Jesus' name and we are grateful for your desire to walk in obedience with a repentant heart and to be covered by the blood of Christ and clothed in His strength.
We pray for you as the Scripture says in Colossians 1:9-14, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light, who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love, in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins.
We speak the priestly blessing over you as written in Numbers 6:24-26, Yahweh bless you, and keep you, Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you, Yahweh lift up his face toward you, and give you peace. We ask the Lord to cause His face to shine upon you and to keep you in His perfect peace and grace each day of this week.
We also intercede for you that the Lord Jesus Christ through His indwelling Holy Spirit would give you a spirit of obedience and keep you with a repentant heart. We are reminded in Ezekiel 36:27, I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my ordinances, and do them. And in Psalm 51:17, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. We pray that He would create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you, that you would be quick to hear His voice, quick to confess and turn from sin, and empowered to obey Him out of love, for Jesus said in John 14:15, If you love me, keep my commandments.
We pray in the Holy Spirit that you would daily put on the whole armor of God as described in Ephesians 6:10-13, Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might, Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. We pray you would stand clothed in truth, righteousness, the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God, watching and praying with perseverance.
We plead the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ over your mind, your soul, and your spirit, for we know in 1 John 1:7, the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin, and in Revelation 12:11, They overcame him because of the Lamb's blood, and because of the word of their testimony. We ask that His blood would cleanse your conscience, guard your thoughts, bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and keep you in fellowship with the Father.
Father, we thank You for this one who seeks Your will. Fill him with wisdom, keep him in repentance and obedience by Your Spirit, surround him with Your blessing and peace, strengthen him to stand in the evil day, and cover his whole being with the precious blood of Jesus. We ask this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
