We stand with you in agreement, lifting your request before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We are grateful that you have called upon the name of the Lord Jesus, for He alone is our mediator and advocate before God (1 Timothy 2:5).
We join you in praying the scriptures you’ve shared, beginning with Colossians 1:9-15, where the apostle Paul prays for the believers to be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Father, we ask that You fill our brother with this same wisdom and understanding, that he may walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing You in every good work. Strengthen him with all power according to Your glorious might, so that he may have endurance and patience with joy. We thank You for qualifying him to share in the inheritance of the saints in light, for You have delivered him from the domain of darkness and transferred him into the kingdom of Your beloved Son, in whom we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins.
We also lift up the blessing from Numbers 6:24-26, declaring it over you: "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace." May this blessing be a reality in your life as you walk in obedience to God’s Word.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You fill our brother with the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of truth and the helper You have sent to guide us into all truth (John 16:13). Give him a spirit of obedience, that he may submit to Your will in every area of his life. Keep his heart tender and repentant before You, for You resist the proud but give grace to the humble (James 4:6). Search his heart, O God, and know his thoughts; see if there is any wicked way in him, and lead him in the way everlasting (Psalm 139:23-24).
We pray that the Holy Spirit would empower him to put on the full armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:10-13. Clothe him with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word. May he stand firm against the schemes of the devil, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Strengthen him to stand his ground, and after he has done everything, to stand.
Lord, we also ask that You guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Protect him from the lies and deceptions of the enemy, and help him to walk in the light of Your truth. May he be rooted and established in love, so that he may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ (Ephesians 3:17-18).
We rebuke every spirit of disobedience, rebellion, and hardness of heart that may be seeking to influence him. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37), and that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that he would walk in the victory that Christ has already won for him on the cross.
May the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal encouragement and good hope by grace, encourage his heart and strengthen him in every good deed and word (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17). We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
