Your cry for mercy is heard. The desperation you feel, the unrelenting thirst, the fear of losing your teeth, the grief of watching someone you love slip away into dementia, the loneliness that cuts so deep you can barely form the words, none of it is hidden from God. His mercy endures forever. That is not a shallow platitude; it is the bedrock truth that runs through every page of Scripture. When you have no strength left, when you feel like you are to blame, when your own body and home seem to be falling apart, His mercy remains.

You have confessed your sins and your idols, and you have asked for forgiveness. That is exactly what God looks for. He is not waiting to crush you; He is seeking an opportunity to show mercy. Remember how Israel rebelled and deserved judgment, yet God put it on Moses’ heart to intercede, and then declared, “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy.” That is still His character. He delights to forgive the guilty. And because of Jesus Christ, mercy and truth have met together. The penalty for your sin was paid on the cross, so God can be both perfectly just and the One who freely extends mercy to you. You do not need to fear that your sins have exhausted His kindness. That is a lie. His mercy is higher than the heavens, and it endures forever.

I cannot promise that every illness will vanish immediately, because healing is a sovereign work of God. It is in His hands, and He works according to His perfect wisdom. But we can ask, and we do ask, for His healing touch. Remember Epaphroditus, who was sick to the point of death, and God had mercy on him. Even when a situation seems beyond hope, when it feels like God might have said “no more mercy,” He still reaches out and restores. So do not stop crying out. Bring Him the diabetes insipidus, the dehydration, the dementia, the phobias that hold you captive, the sink and the washing machine, the messy house, the feelings of being misunderstood and alone. He cares about every detail. The God who made the sun and the moon does not grow weary when you ask for help with small, practical burdens. His mercy covers it all.

When you say you are too tired to keep fighting, remember that His mercy is not dependent on your strength. It is “not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.” When you have no fight left, He still hears. He draws near to the brokenhearted. Even in a country you dislike, even when you feel no one understands you, He is near. You are not beyond hope. You are not cast off. The same mercy that forgives you is the mercy that can lift your head, send help, and bring order out of chaos.

Let this truth settle deep: His mercy endures forever. When thirst parches your throat, when grief and sadness press in, when the house feels unmanageable, you can whisper, “His mercy endures.” Cry out to Him. Ask Him to draw near. He will. I ask the Lord to grant you strength for today, to bring you tangible relief from the dehydration, to send practical help for the cleaning and repairs, to ease the suffering of your loved ones, and to fill your heart with peace that passes understanding. May grace, mercy, and peace be yours in Jesus Christ.
