Severe mental episode and suicidal impulses

I genuinely feel like I am losing control, I need prayer urgently. Thank you and may God grant all this site’s requests if it be his will

We are deeply grieved to hear of the torment you are enduring, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The pain you are experiencing is real, and we stand with you in this battle, lifting you up before the throne of grace where mercy and help are found in time of need. The Scriptures tell us, "The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:17-18). You are seen, you are loved, and you are not forgotten by God.

First, we must address the urgency of your soul’s distress. If you are in immediate danger or feel unable to resist the impulse to harm yourself, we strongly urge you to reach out to someone nearby, a trusted friend, family member, pastor, or a crisis hotline, so that you do not face this alone. You are precious in God’s sight, and He does not desire for you to perish (2 Peter 3:9). Your life has purpose, even when the darkness makes it hard to see.

We also want to gently but firmly rebuke the lies that the enemy is whispering to you in this moment. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The thoughts of hopelessness, the sense of losing control, the despair, these are not from God. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand against the spirit of suicide and depression in the name of Jesus, declaring that it has no authority over you. You are a child of the Most High God, and He holds you in His hands (John 10:28-29).

Now, we lift you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, interceding for our beloved brother/sister who is in the grip of severe mental anguish and despair. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would break through the darkness that surrounds them right now. Let Your light shine into the depths of their mind and spirit, driving out every lie, every fear, and every thought that seeks to destroy them. We declare that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Father, we ask for Your supernatural peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Where there is chaos, bring Your order. Where there is pain, bring Your comfort. Where there is hopelessness, renew their hope in You. We pray for wisdom and discernment for those who can walk alongside them, doctors, counselors, pastors, and loved ones, so that they may receive the care and support they need. Lord, if there are unconfessed sins or areas of their life that are not aligned with Your will, reveal them gently and lead them to repentance, that they may experience Your forgiveness and restoration (1 John 1:9).

We also pray for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit. Fill them with Your love, joy, and peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them of Your promises, Lord, that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Strengthen their faith, even if it feels small right now, and help them to cling to You as their anchor in this storm. We ask for miracles, Lord, miracles of healing, miracles of deliverance, and miracles of renewed purpose. Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways, whether through Your Word, through worship, or through the love of Your people.

We also lift up any spiritual strongholds that may be contributing to this battle. In the name of Jesus, we break every chain of depression, anxiety, and despair that has taken hold. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers them, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life over them, declaring that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).

Father, we ask that You would guide them to the right resources, whether medical, spiritual, or emotional, so that they may receive the help they need. Surround them with people who will speak truth, offer encouragement, and walk with them through this valley. And Lord, if there are areas of their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, we pray that You would draw them closer, that they may know You as their Savior, Healer, and Deliverer.

We trust You, Lord, to move mightily on their behalf. You are the God who turns mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11), and we believe that You will do the same for them. Strengthen their spirit, renew their mind, and restore their joy. We ask all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to take practical steps to care for yourself during this time. Reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or Christian therapist who can provide biblical guidance and support. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there is no shame in seeking help. If you are not already connected to a local church, we urge you to find one where you can be surrounded by believers who will pray for you, encourage you, and walk with you through this season.

We also encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word, even if it feels difficult right now. Start with the Psalms, which are filled with raw honesty about suffering, despair, and the faithfulness of God. Psalm 23, Psalm 42, and Psalm 139 are particularly powerful reminders of God’s presence and love. Listen to worship music that focuses on God’s goodness and sovereignty, let it fill your mind and heart with truth. And if you are able, write down your prayers, even if they are just cries of "Help me, Lord!" God hears every word, even the ones we cannot speak aloud.

Lastly, we want to remind you that your identity is not defined by this struggle. You are not a victim of your circumstances; you are a child of God, created for a purpose. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Even in the midst of this storm, God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Cling to that promise, and do not let go.

You are loved more than you can imagine, and we are standing with you in this battle. Do not lose heart. The same God who parted the Red Sea, who raised Jesus from the dead, and who holds the universe together is fighting for you. He will not abandon you. Keep pressing into Him, and He will lead you out of this darkness and into His marvelous light.

We are so thankful you reached out, friend. That takes real courage when you feel like you are losing control. Before we go any further, if you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support at any hour, you can find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. Trained people are ready to listen, and you do not have to face this moment alone.

The kind of pressure you described is exhausting and frightening. We hear the urgency, and we are praying with you right now, not later. Sometimes when the mind feels this overwhelmed, it helps just to have one simple, concrete step that pulls you toward safety for the next few minutes. If you can, step physically into a space with another person, a family member, a trusted friend, the front desk of an emergency room, anyone safe. You do not need to have the right words; just being near someone who can sit with you can change the next hour.

We know from walking with others in similar valleys that people often find a surprising openness during acute suffering, a time when even small kindnesses and supportive voices can land with unusual weight, and a turning point can begin. That does not downplay how real and severe this moment is, but it tells us that reaching out now, as you just did, matters deeply. Let others carry some of this with you tonight. Accept the help of professionals who can see clearly while your own vision feels painfully narrowed. You are not a burden; you are a person in pain, and pain calls for care.

We are praying that God steadies your heart and shields your mind right now. We ask Him to bring calm where there is chaos, to place someone steady right beside you, and to give you the strength to take the very next safe step. Surround him with support that speaks truth over the darkness, and hold back every impulse that would do him harm. In Jesus’ name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The devil has great wrath, knowing his time is short, and he drives you even to the brink of self-destruction. Yet this is often the way just before deliverance dawns. You feel you are losing control, good, for then you may cease from yourself and cling to Christ alone. Do not wait to feel better or to make yourself more worthy; that would be to make yourself the author of your own salvation. Immediate trust in Jesus is the only way. You need no better Savior, no better hope, no better promises. He is able to save to the uttermost all who cry to Him. None can keep his own soul alive, but Christ is the Bread of life for starving sinners. Cry out now, silently in your soul, “Lord, save me!” and He will stretch forth His hand. He knows what it is to suffer and to be tempted. His marvellous lovingkindness will meet your every need, even in this dark hour. Cast yourself wholly upon Him, and you shall find rest for your soul.

The tempest you now endure is fierce, yet know that Christ is able to calm every storm and make a whole person healthy of even the most shattered mind. I urge you to cling to this truth: those who are fallen shall arise, and the hands that hang down shall be lifted up. Do not despair, for many are urgently lifting you before the throne of grace, and the fervent prayer of the church avails much, was it not thus that Peter was delivered from chains? Even the great apostle Paul sought the prayers of the saints, so do not imagine that you are beyond help or that you stand alone.

Now is the hour to cry out to God with all your might, for prayer is a mighty weapon in the daily battle for the soul. Fix your eyes not on the overwhelming darkness, but on the many who have been plucked from worse calamities and now give thanks. You are not losing control beyond the reach of the Good Physician; He who raised the dead with a word wills your restoration. Flee to the house of prayer, and let the sight of the afflicted there humble your pride and stir your hope.

Today, cast yourself upon His mercy, for He does not quench the smoking flax. Resist the impulse to harm yourself as you would a deadly enemy, and believe that even now God is making you whole.

When the feeling of losing control grips you that tightly, you are touching on something the Scriptures treat as a central battleground. The struggle is not first for your circumstances but for your mind, and with it, the direction of your life. God desires to bring your mind into His peace; a dark and hostile influence desires to drive it toward despair. That tension is painfully real, and I am praying urgently with you in it.

In that fierce place, the most counterintuitive step is often the one that leads to deliverance. The impulse to keep a white-knuckled grip on control will exhaust you, because you were never meant to carry that weight. The Lord brought me to a point in a deep crisis where I had to say, “You know I love this more than my own life, but I place it in Your hands.” That is where faith takes over. Rather than fretting and spiraling, the Spirit enables us to commit the whole mess to Him: “Lord, You are in control. I do not understand what You are doing, but I trust You.” Jesus groaned in spirit at the chaos He saw, yet He continually handed Himself over to the Father’s will. You can do the same right now, out loud if you need to.

Such an episode often comes with a roar that feels overpowering. Scripture records a demon throwing a boy into violent fits, trying to awe the disciples more than they trusted the authority they had been given. The real objective remains the control of your mind. Satan operates by force and deceit, attempting to bend your will toward submission to fear and lies. But the moment you bow the knee to Jesus afresh, submitting your mind to His Word, you are standing on ground the enemy cannot claim. The kind of stronghold you are facing is broken not by your own strength but through prayer and fasting. I encourage you not only to cry out now but to set yourself to linger in prayer, even when the words are only a groan. God moves mountains before we feel them shift.

There is also a real connection between the prosperity of your soul and your physical well-being. The proverb is true, a crushed spirit dries the bones, but a merry heart does good like medicine. I am not minimizing the weight you are under, but I am asking the Lord right now to flush bitterness and hopelessness from your soul. A forgiving, peaceful heart shaped by God’s love is a defense against the mind tearing itself apart. “Above all things,” John wrote, “I wish that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” The prayer tonight is that His perfect love will flood the depths of your mind until the chaos breaks and your whole being begins to feel the healing He promises.

You are not alone in this fight. Release the demand to feel in control, and place your life utterly in His hands. Stand on the authority of Jesus, who defeated every dark power, and let His peace guard your heart right now.
