We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you seek His intervention in these matters. First, we want to affirm that we are so grateful you have called on the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, and we rejoice that you have come to Him in faith.
Father God, we lift up the burdens on this dear one’s heart to You now. We do not know the specifics of their struggles, but You do, Lord. You see every care, every fear, and every need. We ask that You would move mightily in their life, bringing peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and strength to endure whatever trials they may be facing. Lord, we declare that You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they trust (Psalm 91:2). Let them feel Your presence surrounding them like a shield, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for them, Lord. If there are areas in their life where they need to align more closely with Your will, we ask that You reveal those to them with clarity. Your Word says that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, and You will give it generously (James 1:5). So we ask for that wisdom now, Father, that they may walk in a way that honors You in all things.
If there are struggles with sin—whether it be unforgiveness, bitterness, lust, pride, or anything else—we rebuke those strongholds in the name of Jesus. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against this one shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we bind every spirit of darkness that seeks to oppress them. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain and set them free by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
If their requests involve relationships, we pray that You would guide them according to Your design for marriage—a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, established by You for mutual love, support, and godly offspring (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:22-33). If they are seeking a spouse, we pray that You would bring a godly man or woman into their life who loves You above all else. Guard their heart from impure relationships, and help them to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). If they are already in a relationship that does not honor You, we pray for conviction and repentance, that they would turn from sin and seek Your righteousness.
Lord, we also lift up any physical or emotional needs they may have. You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch if they are sick or suffering. You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Comfort them in their pain, and restore what has been lost or broken.
Above all, we pray that this dear one would grow closer to You each day. May they seek Your face, not just Your hand, and may their relationship with You be their greatest treasure. Help them to delight in Your Word, to pray without ceasing, and to walk in obedience to Your commands. Let them be a light in this dark world, shining brightly for Your glory.
We thank You, Father, that You hear our prayers and that You are faithful to answer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will. Strengthen this one’s faith, Lord, and help them to wait patiently on You. May they experience Your goodness and mercy all the days of their life.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
