We join you in seeking the Lord for wisdom and grace in this season and we thank you for bringing these many burdens before Him in Jesus' name.
We love your heart to seek wisdom as described in Col 1:9-10, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. We also join you in asking according to James 1:5, that if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. The Lord delights to give wisdom when we ask with a heart to obey Him.
For your desire to fast according to Isa 58:7-14, we pray the Lord gives you special grace and keeps your fast according to His heart, not merely abstaining from food but loosing the bonds of wickedness, sharing with the hungry and caring for those in need, so that your light will break out as the morning and your healing will appear quickly, Isa 58:8, and that the Lord will guide you continually. We pray your fasting would be unto the Lord with prayer, humility and seeking His face, and that He would sustain your health as you seek Him.
For your health and for the gym, we pray with you from Ps 103:2-5, that you would bless the Lord and not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. We also remember 1 Tim 4:8, for bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, having the promise of the life which is now and of that which is to come. We pray the Lord gives you discipline and balance to care for your body as the temple of the Holy Spirit, for strength, endurance and health to serve Him more effectively, and that your physical training would never replace but would support your spiritual devotion.
We lift up your need for wisdom and direction regarding health, the gym, important decisions, and excellent and regular scheduled time with your son. We pray the Lord would order your steps, Ps 37:23, and make your path clear, and that He would guard your time with your son and make it fruitful, consistent and Christ centered, that you may train him in the way he should go, Prov 22:6.
For the possible move, the not for profit setup, and finances, we ask the Lord to make your way plain and to provide clear counsel. We pray as in Prov 3:5-6 that you would trust in the Lord with all your heart and not lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths. We pray for provision according to Phil 4:19, that your God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and that you would seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, Matt 6:33, trusting Him to add what you need. We pray for wise counsel and integrity in any ministry or organizational decisions.
For effective ministry to the Lord, to disciples, to parents and to the lost, we pray the Lord would make you fruitful and faithful, that you would go and make disciples, baptizing them and teaching them to observe all things that He commanded, Matt 28:19-20, and that His presence would be with you always. We pray your ministry would be in the power of the Holy Spirit and not in mere words, and that love would build up, 1 Cor 8:1.
For protection from temptation, deception, lies, evil people, falsehood, fear and sin, and from the evil one himself, we stand with you in prayer. We pray as Jesus taught us, bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, Matt 6:13 and Luke 11:4, and as He prayed, that you would keep us from the evil one, John 17:15. We pray you would heed Matt 24:4, that no one leads you astray, and that you would be kept from the deception that will increase. We pray you would be delivered from unreasonable and evil men, 2 Thess 3:2, and that you would turn away from those having a form of godliness but denying its power, 2 Tim 3:5. We pray you would be kept pure, that the remnant would do no iniquity nor speak lies, Zeph 3:13, and we claim 1 John 5:18, that he who was born of God keeps himself, and the evil one does not touch him.
For family salvation we join you earnestly, for God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:3-4, and He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9. We pray the Lord would open their eyes and grant repentance, that they would hear and adhere to all He commanded.
Father, we lift our brother to You together and ask for an outpouring of wisdom, discernment and grace for fasting and prayer. Fill him with the knowledge of Your will, guide every decision about his health, his body, his time with his son, his home, his finances and his ministry. Strengthen him in body and spirit, protect him and his family from the evil one, from deception and from every lie and fear, and keep him from temptation. Let his fasting be pleasing to You and bring healing and guidance. Save his family members who do not yet know You, grant them repentance and faith in Christ, and help them walk in obedience so that You will be with them always. We ask You to establish the work of his hands for Your glory and to make his ministry fruitful for Your Kingdom. We pray all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and only Savior, amen.
