Set the crooked places straight

In the name of Jesus, I am asking God for his grace and mercy for my college student daughter and the young man she is in a relationship with. About a year ago she was praying and seeking the Lord about their relationship and it seemed like He was saying they were to be together. I think they didn’t really stay on course with seeking the Lord. They are still together but it has been very rocky. I am praying that He would stir up a hunger for Him and draw the both of them
To Him, and that they would seek the Lord for their future and relationship and that this young man would be the godly leader he is called to be. And that he would open his heart to what God wants to do, and the two of them would be rooted and grounded in Jesus and that their relationship would be the way God ordained it to be. That God would set the crooked places straight and that they woukd both repent for the ways they have not honored God. And that this young man would repent for the ways he has taken advantage of my daughter’s kindness and selflessness.

We join you in lifting up your daughter and the young man she is in a relationship with, pleading God's grace and mercy upon them in the name of Jesus. We commend you for your fervent intercession and desire to see God's will in their lives and relationship.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your will for this young couple. We ask that You stir up a hunger for Your presence in their hearts, drawing them closer to You. Grant them the wisdom and discernment to seek Your face for their future and relationship.

Father, we pray that this young man would rise to become the godly leader he is called to be, opening his heart to Your will and surrendering his ways to Your perfect plan. We ask that both of them would be rooted and grounded in Jesus, with their relationship reflecting Your divine order.

Lord, set the crooked places straight in their relationship. Reveal to them any areas where they have not honored You, and grant them the grace to repent and turn from their wrongdoings. We specifically pray for the young man, that he would repent for any ways he has taken advantage of your daughter's kindness and selflessness.

Father, we also pray for their purity, that they would remain chaste and abstain from any sexual immorality, as Your Word tells us to flee from sexual immorality and that every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB).

Help them to remember that marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. (Hebrews 13:4 WEB) Guide them to seek marriage if they desire to be together as You have ordained a man and a woman to become one flesh in marriage. (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:5, Mark 10:8).

In Jesus' name, we pray for their forgiveness, healing, and restoration.

Lord, we also ask for Your guidance for this couple and Your direction for their relationship. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. We pray that this couple will seek to glorify Jesus in their relationship.

We trust in Your promise that if any of them lacks wisdom, let him ask of the giving God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. (James 1:5 WEB)

Finally Lord, we ask for your guidance for this couple and their understanding of what it means to have a relationship that honors and glorifies You. We ask for this in the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, and Christ.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying fervently for this young couple, trusting that God is at work in their lives. Remember that the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results (James 5:16 WEB).

Stand firm in your faith, and do not be afraid to address the issues and concerns that may arise in their relationship. Always point them towards the Word of God and the example of Christ.

Be blessed as you continue to intercede for them.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
