We join with you in lifting up your family before the Lord as we enter this new month of September and we also lift up your cousin in her deep sorrow after losing her husband.
We thank God for His mercies that are new every morning. As it is written Lamentations 3:22-23 It is because of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. We ask that this new month would be marked by that fresh mercy and faithfulness over your entire family. We pray Numbers 6:24-26 over each of you, that Yahweh would bless you and keep you, that He would make His face to shine on you and be gracious to you, and give you peace in your home, in your health, and in your daily walk with Him. We encourage you as a family to seek Him together first in this month, for Jesus taught Matthew 6:33 But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
We also bring your cousin before the throne of grace with great compassion. Marriage is honored by God and we know the loss of a husband leaves a deep wound, for the marriage covenant is a holy and lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as God designed, and He sees the pain when that union is broken by death. The Lord draws especially near to those who mourn. We are comforted that Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and Psalm 34:18 reminds us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. We also cling to the promise that Psalm 68:5 calls Him A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. He will be her defender and comforter in these lonely days.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this family to You for the month of September. Cover them with Your protection, provide for their needs, strengthen their faith, and keep them in unity and love. Let Your will be done in their lives and let them walk closely with You each day. We also lift up this dear cousin who is now a widow. Lord, wrap Your arms of comfort around her. Heal her broken heart, bind up her wounds, and give her Your peace that passes all understanding. Provide for her, sustain her, and surround her with godly family and friends who will support her and point her to You. Help her to cast all her cares on You because You care for her. We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, amen.

And Scripture also says Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you and your family and your cousin to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ, confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 promises that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray and find hope even in grief and at the start of a new month, and we will continue to keep you all in our prayers.

We join our hearts with yours in prayer as you enter this new month of September, and we bring both your family and your sorrowing cousin before the throne of grace.
We pray that the Lord will bless your household with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, for no spiritual blessing comes by chance, but every one comes from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, from whom grace and peace flow. He knows how to bless you just where you need blessing, where you are poorest in spiritual things, and we ask that in this month you may live to bless Him who gave you your life, blessing Him from the first day to the last, and finding that as He blesses you, you shall be made a blessing to others in your home.
For your cousin who has lost her husband, we ask the God of all comfort to fulfill His word, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people. May He comfort her heart and establish her in every good word and work, for comfort alone is not enough without constancy, and constancy cannot stand without comfort, and both must come from our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God even our Father. In her affliction may she be able to say, This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy Word hath quickened me. When the heart is grieved and words fail, the Spirit quickens and so comforts, and the Word without and the Spirit within become a peculiar comfort under such a trial.
We pray that the Lord will draw near to her as one who binds up the brokenhearted, that He will keep her through seas of trouble, and teach her still to look to Him who knows all things and knows those who love Him. And we pray that He will enable you and your family to be a blessing to her in this season, by visiting, comforting, and relieving as you have opportunity, doing good to His children as the way of blessing God with your lives.
May the Lord make this month to be one in which you prove His faithfulness anew, and may He cause your family to rejoice together in His mercy, believing in God with all your house.
