Yes, Lord. Amen. We need ANOTHER Great Awakening... I ask no one will be deceived by a "temporal and worldly sorrow" as to thinking that is true repentance. Isaiah says that is like "bowing one's head like a reed" which goes down for a second from the wind and pops right back up to where it was before (Isaiah 58:5).
The same type of false repentance occurred around 9/11, it also occurred around WW2, and prior to that, WW1. In each instance, it was only temporary. As soon as the people got over the seriousness of WW1, they went right into "The Roaring 20s" and as soon as the dangers of WW2 were ended, "The Baby Boom, Hot-rod & Surfing USA" days of the Prosperous 1950s came in with all it's dating and immorality, and the worst decadence we have ever seen in the country has been instituted in the years between 2001 and the present, most clearly represented by our popular music which is degrading to women and anti-authority, or openly satanic and promiscuous. Even our worship songs are all about us, come do this to me, and have lost the Holiness of God being worshiped for Who He Is and What He Has Done (in general)...
Let's be clear what Godly Sorrow and Real Repentance Are: 2 Cor 7:9-11
9 "And now I rejoice, not because you were made sorrowful, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you felt the sorrow that God had intended, and so were not harmed in any way by us. 10
Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. 11 Consider what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what zeal, what vindication! In every way you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter."
Ezekiel 18:23
"Do I have any pleasure in the death of the wicked," declares the Lord GOD, "rather than that he should turn from his ways and live?
Acts 11:18
When they heard this, their objections were put to rest, and they glorified God, saying, "So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life."
True repentance lasts and endures to eternal life... We have not come here yet as a church as a whole (We still have a false hope in "The American Dream" of a nice suburbia, good kids, two cars and a nice retirement account)!
And America has not yet come to the place of humility to where it will get over the "Tower of Babylonian-type thinking" where "We will rebuild ourselves to a place whose heights reach the heavens" -- Gen 11:4 -- Rather than humble ourselves and remember we were founded by people who wanted to worship God in purity without being persecuted for it.
Father, forgive us for taking the Freedoms that many preached for, fought for and died for and using it to eradicate you from society and disrespect your laws, take you out of schools with removing prayer and The Bible, and removing your Name on Municipal Buildings and yet wanting you to bless us. Forgive us for the murder of the unborn and the "elimination" of the elderly. Both stop beating hearts. Have mercy on us and change the laws in the land to ones that are cohesive with Your Word and therefore granting us a sustainable country, for as of now we are still in opposition with Your Will and Word, other than for the repentant remnant made up of all true believers from various denominations, inter-denominations and non-denominations, who hold fast to The Head, Jesus Christ, Amen.

"Yet there will be a tenth portion in it, And it will again be subject to burning, Like a terebinth or an oak Whose stump remains when it is felled. The holy seed is its stump." (Isaiah 6:13).
