We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we come before the throne of grace with you in this time of overwhelming struggle. The weight of suffering at this stage of life can feel unbearable, and we want you to know that you are not forgotten, God sees your tears, hears your cries, and holds your broken heart in His hands. The psalmist wrote, "The LORD is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Even in your despair, He is near, and we stand with you in faith, believing that He will move on your behalf.
First, we must address the lie that God has turned His back on you. The enemy would love for you to believe that God has abandoned you, but Scripture assures us, "For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, ‘Do not fear; I will help you’" (Isaiah 41:13 WEB). The feeling of distance from God does not mean He is not working. In fact, it is often in our weakest moments that His strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). We rebuke the spirit of despair and unbelief that whispers lies to your heart, and we declare that God is your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Now, we lift up your urgent need to sell your home. We pray that the Lord would open doors no man can shut and bring the right buyer quickly, one who sees the value in what you are offering and is prepared to act in haste. We ask that He would remove any obstacles, financial, legal, or otherwise, that may be delaying the sale. "Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act" (Psalm 37:5 WEB). We believe that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and we pray for supernatural provision and relief.
But we also pray for something deeper, for stability not just in your circumstances, but in your soul. The psalmist cried out, "Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God!" (Psalm 42:5 WEB). We pray that the Lord would anchor your heart in His promises, that you would find rest in His faithfulness, and that your strength would be renewed like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). You are not defined by your struggles, but by the One who calls you His beloved child.
We rebuke the spirit of weariness that seeks to drain you of hope. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB). We pray that you would experience His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and that you would sense His presence carrying you through this trial.
Father God, in the name of Jesus, we come before You with this precious one who is hurting and in need. We ask that You would move mightily in their situation, bringing a swift and favorable resolution to the sale of their home. Provide them with stability, relief, and the assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith, lift their eyes to You, and remind them that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). We declare that this season of suffering will not last forever, and that joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Surround them with Your love, peace, and provision, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Hold fast to hope, dear one. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised the dead, and calmed the storm is the God who is fighting for you. You are not alone, and this trial will not have the final say. We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, even if it’s just a few verses each day, and to speak His promises over your life. The battle is already won in Christ, and we believe that victory is coming your way.
