The desire you have to provide more space for your children to grow and play is a good and natural one. It reflects a care for your family that God Himself has placed within you. He knows this need even before you voice it, and nothing about your situation escapes His notice.

When you bring this request before the Lord, remember that prayer is not really about informing God of what you lack. He is already fully aware. Instead, prayer is an invitation for His purposes to unfold freely in your life. The deepest purpose of prayer is not to see your will accomplished, but to see His will done on earth as it is in heaven. The most powerful prayer you can offer right now may simply be, "Lord, work out Your complete and perfect will for our family, and do in this situation what You want to do."

True prayer opens a door for God to act without violating your will. It is not a passive resignation, but an active placing of your trust in a Father who knows how to give good gifts to His children. He is able to do things that go far beyond what you could ask or even imagine. A shift in the market that seems impossible to you is no difficulty for Him at all.

As you continue to pray, consider asking for something even greater than the selling of your house. Ask that during this season of uncertainty, Christ would truly settle down and make Himself at home in your heart and within your family. The waiting can become a rich time if you are being strengthened by His Spirit in your inner being. There is a contentment and a sense of home that is found in His presence, independent of any physical dwelling. When your love for Him remains first and paramount above every other concern, He is faithful to direct your path. I will join you in praying for God’s perfect will to be accomplished in your life and for the provision your family needs, trusting in His abundant riches and perfect timing.
