We join with you in bringing these deep desires before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name, asking for His perfect will to be done in your life and in the lives of your children.
We hear your heart for a godly marriage and we affirm your desire for marriage as God designed it, a lifelong covenant commitment between a man and a woman. For this cause a man will leave his father and his mother, and will be joined to his wife, and they will become one flesh. Genesis 2:24. Your longing for a mature, emotionally secure, responsible man who will provide a stable, consistent, and secure presence and who will love and support you and your children is a right and honorable desire. We pray that the Lord will lead you to a husband who is a faithful Christian Believer, a man who walks with Christ and will love you as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it. Ephesians 5:25. We encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow Believer, guarding purity and seeking a relationship built on peace, wisdom, and true companionship that honors God. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14. Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. Proverbs 18:22. We pray that as you wait, you will find your deepest emotional security and safe bonding first in the Lord, for God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1, and He alone can fill the places of longing in your heart while He prepares the right man in His timing.
We also lift up your desire regarding wealth and your struggle with feeling worthy to ask for it and receive it, even in prayer. We want to gently correct the idea that your worth comes from wealth or your ability to earn it. Your worth is already established in Christ. We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10. You are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image, and your value is not measured by riches. At the same time, it is right to bring every need before God, including financial provision. The Scripture teaches us to ask, for you do not have, because you do not ask. James 4:2, and Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. Matthew 7:7. Our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. We encourage you to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33, trusting that He delights to provide for His children as you walk in diligence and wisdom, not out of a love of money, for the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. 1 Timothy 6:10, but out of His loving care for you and your children. Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4.
We noticed your request speaks of God's blessing but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. Romans 10:10.
We pray together for you now.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and lift up our sister and her children to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know her longing for a godly marriage, for companionship rooted in love, compassion, peace and wisdom. We ask that You prepare her heart and prepare the heart of the man You have for her, a mature, responsible, emotionally secure man who loves You above all else and who will love her and her children with Christlike, sacrificial love and provide a stable and secure home. Guard her from any relationship that would not honor You, keep her in purity and wisdom, and lead her in courtship that has marriage as its holy goal. Give her patience and discernment to wait on Your perfect timing, for we know Your thoughts toward us are thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.
Father, we also ask that You heal any place where she feels unworthy to ask or to receive from Your hand. Reveal to her deeply that her worth is found in Christ alone and that Your grace is sufficient for her, for Your power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9. Teach her to ask boldly in Jesus' name, trusting in Your goodness to provide for all her needs and to bless the work of her hands so she may provide for her family and be a blessing to others. Grant her wisdom in stewardship and peace in trusting You as her provider. Draw her ever closer to Jesus, that she may know the fullness of salvation and access to Your presence through Him alone. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
