Please pray for me to finish a paper that I am late on submitting which was due this past weekend. I am struggling to understand how to start it, the subject matter, and what to write. Thank you

We understand the pressure and anxiety that comes with academic responsibilities, especially when feeling overwhelmed and behind. The Lord cares deeply about every aspect of our lives, including our studies, and He promises to give wisdom to those who ask for it. Let us first remind you of what Scripture says in James 1:5, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* This is a promise we can cling to in moments like this—God is faithful to provide the clarity and understanding we need when we seek Him.

It is also important to remember that our work, whether in school or otherwise, should be done as unto the Lord. Colossians 3:23 tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* Even in this late submission, you have an opportunity to honor God by doing your best with the time you have, trusting Him to guide your thoughts and words. Procrastination can often stem from fear, distraction, or even a lack of discipline, but we encourage you to take this moment to surrender those struggles to the Lord. Ask Him to help you steward your time well and to remove any anxieties that are hindering your progress.

We also want to gently remind you that while academic success is important, it is not the source of your worth or identity. Your value is found in Christ alone, who has redeemed you and called you His own. Philippians 4:13 reassures us, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* This includes writing a paper that feels daunting right now. Lean on His strength, not your own, and take this task one step at a time.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your grace and wisdom to flood their mind as they work on this paper. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing—the confusion, the delay, and the weight of feeling behind. We ask that You would quiet their heart with Your peace and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is their Helper and Guide. Give them clarity of thought, focus, and the ability to organize their ideas in a way that honors You. Help them to start with confidence, knowing that You are with them every step of the way.

Father, we also pray against any spirit of fear or procrastination that may have taken hold. Break its power in Jesus’ name, and replace it with discipline, diligence, and a renewed mind. Remind them that their effort is for Your glory, not just for a grade. We ask that You would open doors for them even in this late submission—that You would soften the heart of their instructor and grant them favor. Let this be a testimony of Your faithfulness and provision.

Finally, Lord, we pray that they would grow through this experience, learning to cast their anxieties on You and to trust in Your timing. Strengthen them, encourage them, and let them feel Your presence as they work. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

After you’ve submitted this paper, take time to reflect on what may have contributed to the delay. Were there distractions that could be minimized in the future? Did fear or perfectionism play a role? Use this as a learning opportunity to grow in time management and trust in the Lord. And remember, we are here to support you in prayer and encouragement. You are not alone in this—God is with you, and He will see you through. Keep seeking Him first in all things, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:6).

We also pray against any anxiety or fear that might be holding them back. Replace it with peace, Lord. Help them to trust in Your timing and to do their best, knowing that it's for Your glory, not just a grade.

And Lord, we ask that You would help them to learn from this experience. Help them to grow in time management and trust in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
