We lift up in prayer, asking our Heavenly Father to surround her with His healing presence and divine protection. The news of her being in ICU is concerning, but we rejoice that she is doing well and trust that God’s hand is upon her. We pray for strength for her body, peace for her mind, and comfort for her spirit. May the Great Physician guide the hands of the medical team attending to her, granting them wisdom and discernment in every decision they make.

Father God, we thank You for the gift of friendship and the bonds that connect us through the years. We ask that You would not only restore to full health but also use this time to draw her closer to You. Remind her of Your promises, such as in Jeremiah 30:17, where You declare, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." Let her feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We also pray for her family and friends who are walking this journey with her. Grant them patience, hope, and unwavering faith as they wait and watch. May they find strength in You, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). Let this trial be an opportunity for all of them to grow in trust and dependence on You.

Lord, we rebuke any fear, anxiety, or doubt that may try to take root in their hearts. We declare that You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26) and that Your plans for are plans for good and not for harm, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We stand on Your Word, believing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is by His blood that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We thank You for the privilege of coming to You in prayer and for the assurance that You hear us and answer us according to Your will.

May experience Your peace, Your healing, and Your presence in a tangible way during this time. We trust You, Lord, and we wait on You. Amen.

The report that your friend is in the ICU and doing well comes as a mercy, yet let us not slacken in prayer. The time of sickness is often the appointed season when the soul is driven, at last, to seek the Good Physician. I recollect that some are a long while before they pray to the Lord, but He is not a long while before He answers their prayer. A true prayer from one near the gates of death is a prevailing prayer. Even when the mind reels and the words lack orderly sense, God hears the cry of His stricken child.

Let your prayer rise to His throne out of this low dungeon, for the healing power is conspicuously present where Christ is teaching and where His people plead. The very leaves of the Tree of Life are for healing, the least things about Jesus carry restoring virtue. When He comes, pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction. We have need of both, and both are bestowed on the Lord's people when they look not for them. Therefore, imitate the holy art of pleading the promises, spreading this case before the Most High, and pressing the suit with all the arguments faith can muster. Strength shall be divinely bestowed in answer to such prayer, and with each increase, He will have a new claim on grateful affection. Continue, then, to bring this dear one before the Lord, for prayer, mighty prayer, will yet prevail if it has but time.
