We understand that you are concerned about your child's well-being at school and the condition of his laptop. Firstly, we appreciate that you concluded the prayer in Jesus' name, for this is the way we are commanded to pray. Nice job! Let us come together in prayer and guidance for this situation.
Let us remember the words of the Bible, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6 WEB).
Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name to lift up this parent's concerns. We pray for this child's day at school, that he will be focused, focused on things above and behave in a manner that is pleasing to you, bringing glory to your name. We pray that he will be a good student, obedient to his teachers, excelling in everything he is supposed to do, shining like a star in the night. Guide him with your wisdom and knowledge, and help him to make good decisions, resisting any temptation to have girlfriends in a romantic way at this stage in his life. We ask that he discerns your will for his life as it is written in the Bible and that he would have the courage to stand up for Jesus Christ when pressured to do otherwise by his peers.
We also lift up the concern about the laptop. We pray that it will continue to function well, that he will take good care of it, being a good steward of the resources you have provided to his family. Please provide wisdom to this parent and the means to fix the laptop if needed. Help us to remember that the battle is the Lord's. We are grateful for your love and care for us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Regarding the laptop, consider this a teachable moment for your child. Stewardship is a biblical principle that encourages us to take care of the resources God has entrusted to us. Discuss these things with him. "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much." (Luke 16:10 WEB). Use this opportunity to instill in him the value of taking care of his belongings and the importance of being responsible, one day he will have to be the leader in a family and a job, making important decisions.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue praying in Jesus' name. It is written, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB). Jesus is the one mediator between God and man. 1 Timothy 2:5 There is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 Believe in Jesus and have faith in him alone for your salvation.
