We understand your desire for a scholarship to attend college, and we empathize with your needs. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always faithful to provide for His children, as shown in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB: "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Before we pray for your scholarship, we want to ensure that your trust is in the Lord and that you are seeking His will for your life. We also want to make sure that you have your priorities in the right order. We should be seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness in our lives. We should be seeking a close relationship with Jesus Christ. College is great if God has called you to it, but has He? We are called to bring everything to Him in prayer, as it says in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let's pray together:
"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come to You with this request. We ask for Your will and Your provision in this situation. If it is Your plan for ### to attend college, we pray that You would provide the scholarship and all the necessary resources. We also pray for spiritual growth and a deeper relationship with You. We ask for guidance and clarity about what the calling on their life is. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your goodness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Remember, God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. If you have not already, make sure you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is only through Him that we have access to God the Father. If you have any questions about this, please let us know.
